Cleveland signed Asante to its practice squad Tuesday, the Browns' official site reports.
Originally signed by Miami as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn, Asante was waived during August cutdowns.

Eugene Asante: Gets look from Arizona
The Cardinals hosted Asante (ankle) for a workout Friday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Asante reached an injury settlement with the Dolphins in late August after he sustained an ankle injury during Miami's preseason finale against Jacksonville. He now appears to be fully recovered from the injury and is looking to join a team in need of depth at linebacker.

Eugene Asante: Waived with injury settlement
Asante (ankle) was waived by the Dolphins with an injury settlement Tuesday.
Asante suffered an ankle injury in the Dolphins' preseason finale against the Jaguars. Despite having an impressive training camp, the rookie linebacker was unable to make it past the final roster cuts. Asante will now focus on his recovery and will be able to sign with another team once he's healthy.
