Colts' Matt Goncalves: Out for Sunday
Goncalves (toe) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Rams, Amanda Foster of the Colts' official site reports.
Goncalves didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday after likely sustaining a toe injury in Indianapolis' Week 3 win over the Titans, so it's no surprise he won't play Sunday. Dalton Tucker is expected to start at right guard in Goncalves' stead.

Colts' Matt Goncalves: Expected to start at guard
Colts offensive-line coach Tony Sparano Jr. told reporters Tuesday that Goncalves (concussion) is expected to start at right guard in 2025, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Goncalves exited the Colts' 2024 season finale with a concussion, but it appears he's moved past the issue. The 2024 third-round pick from Pittsburgh will transition from tackle to guard and is expected to be one of the team's top offensive linemen heading into his second NFL season.

Colts' Matt Goncalves: Heading to Indy
The Colts selected Goncalves in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 79th overall.
Goncalves had a chance to go much higher in the draft if he was able to stay healthy for his redshirt senior season at Pittsburgh, but a left foot injury kept him out for nine games plus the combine. He was able to test at Pitt's Pro Day and did not have a standout workout, but his body of work in college paints him as a seasoned lineman who can play either tackle spot. Some scouts project him as a guard, and that's his clearest path to playing time in Indianapolis with the current tackle personnel.
