James Ester: Waived/injured by Miami
The Dolphins waived/injured Ester (undisclosed) on Friday.
Ester seems to have suffered a significant injury in practice this week. The 24-year-old had transitioned from the defensive line to the offensive line over the past couple of months, a switch that will likely be irrelevant in 2026. Ester will be placed on waivers, and if he clears will revert to the Dolphins' injured reserve list. The offensive lineman will miss the entirety of the 2026 season if he reverts unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team.
