Philadelphia cut Woods on Monday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Woods was competing to make an NFL roster for the first time in his young career, but it just wasn't in the cards with the Eagles' stacked group of defensive backs. He'll now have to look for another opportunity with a different squad.

Eagles' A.J. Woods: Limited in practice
Woods (illness) practiced in a limited fashion Monday, Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
After being carted into the locker room during Saturday's preseason game against Cleveland, Woods was on the field for practice Monday but didn't fully participate. The 24-year-old has recorded two tackles in the preseason so far. He is trying to make an NFL roster for the first time, as he has yet to appear in a regular-season game since being signed by the Commanders as an undrafted free agent in 2024.

Eagles' A.J. Woods: Exits Saturday's game with injury
Woods was carted from the sideline to the locker room during Saturday's preseason game against the Browns, Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
It's unclear when Woods suffered the injury or the nature of it, but it appears his day is done after he was taken to the locker room. An update on his injury should be provided by the Eagles once he undergoes further tests. He did not record a tackle prior to leaving Saturday's game.
