The Browns waived Kirk on Monday, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Kirk appeared in both preseason games for the Browns, registering one tackle while playing 45 snaps on defense and 19 on special teams.

Browns' Luther Kirk: Claimed by Browns
Kirk was picked up off waivers by Cleveland on Tuesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
The 2020 undrafted free agent was one of two cornerbacks, along with Reggie Robinson, that were claimed off waivers by the Browns on Tuesday. Kirk played in just one game for the Falcons in 2021 after failing to see the field during his rookie campaign.

Luther Kirk: Still looking for job
The Texans didn't sign Kirk after his workout with the team Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Kirk was one of a handful of free agents who were brought in for a workout after the Texans' loss to the Patriots in Week 5. The 2020 undrafted free agent reached an injury settlement with the Vikings during the preseason, so it's a positive sign to see him healthy and looking for a job.

The Vikings waived Kirk (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Monday, independent NFL journalist Aaron Wilson reports.
The nature and severity of his current injury remains undisclosed, but he will be eligible to join a new team when he is fully healthy. The Illinois State product has spent time with the Cowboys and Vikings since joining the league as an undrafted free agent in 2020.

Vikings' Luther Kirk: Back to IR, as expected
Kirk (undisclosed) reverted to Minnesota's injured reserve Wednesday, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Kirk will remain with the Vikings for the entire 2021 season after going unclaimed on waivers, unless he and the team agree on an injury settlement. The nature and severity of his current issue remain undisclosed.

The Vikings waived Kirk on Tuesday.
Kirk was signed by the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent during the 2020 offseason, but he was let go before the season began. He joined the Vikings organization at the end of the 2020 campaign but once again failed to make the initial 53-man roster. The Illinois State product may be a practice squad candidate for the Vikings if he clears waivers.
