Rashad Smith: Waived by Dallas
Smith was waived by the Cowboys on Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
The 23-year-old signed with the Cowboys in mid-September but didn't appear in a contest since joining the team. Smith went undrafted out of Florida Atlantic in the spring and is a candidate for the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Cowboys' Rashad Smith: Heading to Dallas
Smith signed a contract with the Cowboys on Tuesday, David Helman of the team's official site reports.
Smith was signed off the Bears' practice squad after Leighton Vander Esch was placed on the reserve/injured list Tuesday. Smith joined the Bears as a rookie free agent after the draft. Expect him to serve a depth role in his new home.
