Tommy Hudson: Waived with injury settlement
The Saints waived Hudson (undisclosed) from IR with an injury settlement Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hudson was waived with an unspecified injury designation last Thursday, and he was in danger of missing the whole 2024 season after reverting to the team's IR one day later. With the injury settlement, however, the 27-year-old tight end will have an opportunity to sign with another team once he's fully healthy. Hudson spent all of 2023 on the Saints' practice squad, and his only NFL action came in 2021 with the Titans, when he recorded three catches for 31 yards across five-regular season outings.

Unless he and New Orleans reach an injury settlement, Hudson will miss the entirety of the 2024 season after originally being waived with an injury designation Thursday. The 6-foot-5 tight end spent the 2023 season on the Saints' practice squad.

The tight end signed with the team in May after spending parts of three seasons with the Titans. The fourth-year pro has played in five career games and caught three passes for 31 yards.

Broncos' Tommy Hudson: Headed to Denver
Denver signed Hudson (undisclosed) on Wednesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Hudson spent parts of the past three campaigns in Tennessee, but he was waived last October with an undisclosed injury. Per Klis, the undrafted tight end out of Arizona State impressed during a tryout at the Broncos' rookie minicamp, so he appears to be fully healthy and will look to make Denver's Week 1 roster. Hudson has caught three of six targets across five career regular-season appearances, which all came in 2021 with the Titans.
