Titans' Cedric Gray: Questionable for Week 2
Gray (concussion) was a full participant in Friday's practice but is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com reports.
Gray logged back-to-back full practices to end the week, but in order to be available for Week 2, he'll need to clear an evaluation by an independent neurologist to exit out of the league's concussion protocol. James Williams (elbow) is also listed as questionable, so the Titans enter the weekend with Cody Barton, Owen Pappoe and rookie second-rounder Anthony Hill as the only healthy linebackers on the active roster. Gray's status for Sunday's contest may not be officially known until the Titans announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Gray is working his way back from a concussion he suffered on Sept. 7 during a UTV accident, and it seems he's close to clearing the league's five-step concussion protocol. Gray suffered a concussion on Sept. 7 during a UTV accident and ended up sitting out the Titans' season-opening loss to the Jets. The linebacker appears to have made some positive strides in his recovery heading into Week 2, as his full participation in practice means that he's at least reached the fourth phase of the NFL's five-step concussion protocol. If Gray can receive clearance from an independent neurologist in the coming days, he should be available to make his 2026 debut Sunday versus the Eagles.

Gray, coming off the heels of a career year in 2025, entered the league's concussion protocol after getting into a UTV accident this past weekend. Gray got in a UTV accident over the weekend and had to enter the NFL's concussion protocol, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Davenport further clarified that, "It was not a case of reckless driving and no alcohol was involved." A statement from the team said Gray should be able to return once he's out of the protocol. The linebacker finished fourth in the NFL last season with 164 tackles (97 solo).

Gray cleared the league's concussion protocol to return Sunday from a one-game absence, and the 2024 fourth-rounder made his impact felt with a game-high 12 tackles. It was the ninth time that Gray recorded double-digit stops and the third time that he played every single defensive snap. He is up to 156 combined tackles through 15 regular-season games, which is tied with rookie Carson Schwesinger for fifth most in the NFL. Gray appeared to sustain the injury after colliding with George Kittle in the fourth quarter. This was the seventh time in 10 games that Gray notched double-digit tackles, totaling 109 stops in that stretch.
