Coleman Bennett: Leaving Miami
The Dolphins waived Bennett on Saturday.
Bennett signed with the Dolphins on Wednesday after being waived by the Bears in mid-August. The running back was a substitute for Ollie Gordon (ribs) in Friday's preseason finale against the Falcons. Bennett, an undrafted free agent out of Kennesaw State, rushed five times for eight yards in the contest. He will now be subject to waivers through Monday due to Sunday's cutdown day. If the 23-year-old goes unclaimed, he will become a free agent able to sign with any team's 53-man roster or practice squad.

Dolphins' Coleman Bennett: Signs with Miami
The Dolphins signed Bennett to a contract Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Bennett was waived by the Bears on Aug. 17 and cleared waivers. The running back now joins the Dolphins as a preseason substitute for the injured Ollie Gordon (ribs). Bennett will likely see snaps in Friday's preseason finale against the Falcons, but may not last much longer than that on the roster.

Coleman Bennett: Waived by Chicago
Bennett was waived by the Bears on Monday.
The running back signed with Chicago as an undrafted free agent in May. Bennett recorded 764 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns, as well as 27 catches for 314 receiving yards and three additional scores, with Kennesaw State in 2025. He'll now have to look for another opportunity in the NFL.

Bears' Coleman Bennett: Signs with Chicago
The Bears signed Bennett as an undrafted free agent Friday, Larry Mayer of the team's official site reports.
Bennett spent a year at Rice before transferring to Kennesaw State in 2025. The running back produced 764 yards and four touchdowns on 157 carries over 14 games for the Owls. He also added 27 catches for 314 yards and three touchdowns as a receiver. Bennett is set to join a Bears team that focused heavily on running the ball in 2025. The undrafted free agent could see some rotational carries at some point during the season if he proves to be a reliable and durable rusher during training camp.
