Rams' Brennan Presley: Signed by Rams to future deal
The Rams signed Presley to a reserve/future contract Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The future deal means Presely will be on the Rams' 90-man roster when the offseason officially begins Feb. 9, allowing him to participate in OTAs and minicamp. He was signed by the Rams in late April as an undrafted free agent and spent his entire rookie campaign on the practice squad, with his lone regular-season appearance taking place Week 12 against the Buccaneers.

Brennan Presley: Back with practice squad
Presley reverted to the Rams' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Presley was elevated to the active roster prior to Sunday night's 34-7 win over the Buccaneers, failing to record any stats while playing four snaps on special teams. With fellow wideout Xavier Smith (concussion) uncertain for Week 13, it's possible that Presley will be elevated again before the team squares off with the Panthers on the road.

Rams' Brennan Presley: Elevated for Week 12
The Rams elevated Presley from their practice squad Saturday.
Presley signed with Los Angeles as an undrafted free agent in late April and had a strong preseason, but he was ultimately left off the team's initial 53-man roster. The Oklahoma State product subsequently signed with the Rams' practice squad, and he's getting his first elevation in Week 12. Whether Presley sees any snaps on offense could depend on whether Xavier Smith (concussion) is able to play.

Brennan Presley: Staying in LA on practice squad
The Rams signed Presley to the practice squad Wednesday, Wyatt Miller of the team's official site reports.
Presley wasn't able to crack the Rams' 53-man roster despite a strong preseason in which he finished with 11 catches for 164 yards and one touchdown across three games. He'll remain in the organization as a member of the practice squad, and the undrafted rookie could be elevated to the active roster if the Rams require depth at wide receiver on game day.

Brennan Presley: Doesn't crack Rams' 53-man squad
The Rams waived Presley on Tuesday.
The undrafted rookie out of Oklahoma State entered training camp as a longshot to make the Rams' 53-man roster, but he played well enough in the preseason to make it a tough decision for the team's coaching staff. Presley had a standout performance in the Rams' second preseason game against the Chargers, when he caught six passes (on eight targets) for 102 yards, and he finished with an 11/164/1 statline across the Rams' three preseason games. He wasn't able to survive Tuesday's cut-down day, but he might opt to stay with the Rams as a member of the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Rams' Brennan Presley: Six touches in preseason finale
Presley secured all three of his targets for 51 yards and rushed three times for 23 yards during Saturday's 19-17 preseason loss to the Browns. He also returned one kick for seven yards.
While the UDFA failed to score a touchdown for the first time this preseason in his final showcase for the Rams, Presley continued to be an effective weapon when his number was called. The Oklahoma State product made big plays as a receiver and as an option out of the backfield, including an 18-yard scamper in the second quarter. Presley was involved in three out of the Rams' five longest plays of the day, and his ability as a home-run hitter makes him an intriguing candidate for the practice squad, as he's unlikely to crack the final 53-man roster, with Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, Tutu Atwell, Jordan Whittington, Konata Mumpfield and Xavier Smith all likely to make the roster.

Rams' Brennan Presley: Leads team in receiving
Presley secured six of eight targets for 102 yards during Saturday's 23-22 preseason win against the Chargers.
Presley's biggest catch of the preseason came in the waning moments of the Rams' victory when Stetson Bennett tossed up a Hail Mary on fourth down. Presley made the contested catch over two Chargers' defenders for a 40-yard gain, and one play later Bennett tossed a game-winning nine-yard touchdown pass to Tru Edwards. While the Rams will be hard-pressed to find a spot for the UDFA given the deep and talented pool of wideouts on the roster, Presley could make the decision to leave him off the final 53-man roster more difficult with another big game in next week's preseason finale against the Browns.

Rams' Brennan Presley: Opens preseason with TD
Presley caught both of his targets for 11 yards and a touchdown and rushed once for 15 yards during Saturday's 31-21 preseason win against the Cowboys. He also returned one kick for 38 yards and fumbled once.
Versatility was the name of the game for the UDFA from Oklahoma State, as he contributed on three facets on the stat sheet. Presley snagged a five-yard touchdown pass from Stetson Bennett late in the fourth quarter, which he helped set up with an impressive 38-yard kickoff return. The top five wideouts on the roster are near locks to make the team, leaving the sixth spot as a battle between incumbent Xavier Smith, Britain Covey, Mario Williams, Tru Edwards (undisclosed) and Drake Stoops. If Presley is able to continue showing his abilities as a return man, he may press Smith for one of the final roster spots in a talented wide receiver room.
