Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Cleared for start of training camp
New Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley said Achane (shoulder) has been cleared for the start of training camp, Alain Poupart of SI.com reports.
Achane dealt with a shoulder issue over the spring and was limited to individual drills at mandatory minicamp, but Hafley indicated his star running back has passed the conditioning test and will not open camp on the active/PUP list. Achane inked a four-year, $64 million extension with Miami earlier in the offseason and is once again expected to be the focal point of the offense after totaling 1,838 yards and 12 touchdowns from scrimmage across 16 regular-season games in 2025.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Taking individual reps at minicamp
Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley said Wednesday that Achane (shoulder) has been limited to individual drills at mandatory minicamp, Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Hafley said Achane will continue handling individual drills Thursday, the final date of Miami's three-day minicamp. The star running back, who signed a four-year, $68 million in May, is recovering from a clean-up procedure to address a shoulder injury that forced him to miss Week 18 of the 2025 season, but there's not yet any reason to believe the issue will impact his activity level for the start of training camp in July. Until such time as Achane is fully cleared, however, Jaylen Wright and Ollie Gordon will be the favorites to handle first-team reps in 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Rehabbing shoulder at OTAs
Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley said Wednesday that Achane (shoulder) is recovering from a clean-up procedure and will not be a full participant at OTAs, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.
Achane missed the final game of the 2025 season due to a shoulder injury, but he still finished with a career-high 1,350 rushing yards and eight touchdowns across 16 regular-season appearances while averaging a league-best 5.8 yards per carry on 238 attempts. There have been no indications that the shoulder procedure he's rehabbing is anything beyond routine offseason maintenance, a notion reinforced by the four-year, $68 million extension Miami signed him to earlier in May. Achane's next opportunity to return to the field following OTAs will come during mandatory minicamp June 2-4, though the Dolphins could choose to remain cautious and hold him out until training camp in July. He projects as a top-12 fantasy selection not only due to his standing as the centerpiece of Miami's rushing attack alongside dual-threat quarterback Malik Willis, but also because of his pass-catching upside. Achane has compiled more catches (145) and receiving yards (1,080) over the past two seasons than any other player currently on the Dolphins' roster.
