Bengals' Cedric Peerman: Heads to IR
Peerman (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
With Jeremy Hill (ankle), Giovani Bernard and Joe Mixon all lined up to play with the Bengals, Peerman wasn't slated for many offensive snaps anyway. He would have been able to vie for return opportunities if it wasn't for the emergence of Alex Erickson in 2016, so even if Peerman does get healthy enough to be activated, don't expect the Bengals to choose that route.

Bengals' Cedric Peerman: Activated from NFI list
Peerman (undisclosed) was activated from the Non-Football Injury list Monday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Peerman passed his physical Monday and is expected to join the team at practice later for the first time in training camp. Though he's missed out on some critical reps, Peerman is an incumbent special teams captain who was never considered much of a threat to vault ahead of Joe Mixon, Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard on the depth chart at running back anyway.
