Michael Oher: Released by Panthers
Oher (concussion) was released with a failed physical designation by the Panthers on Thursday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Oher missed the Panthers' last 13 games of the 2016 season under the league's concussion protocol, and the issues have lingered into the offseason. The Panthers signed former Viking Matt Kalil to start at left tackle in 2017, while Oher will look to get back to full health before potentially catching on with another team.

Panthers' Michael Oher: Plans on reporting to training camp
Oher (concussion) plans on reporting to training camp in late July, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Oher has been subject to the league's concussion protocol since September of 2016, missing the Panthers' final 13 games of the season as a result. He reported to the team's mandatory minicamp in June, but was unable to participate due to the concussion protocol. With Oher's future uncertain in Carolina, Daryl Williams and rookie Taylor Morton figure to compete for playing time at right tackle throughout the rest of the offseason, while newcomer Matt Kalil is slated to start at left tackle.

Panthers' Michael Oher: Not a lock for minicamp
Oher (concussion) is not a lock to be ready in time for June's mandatory minicamp, Joseph Person of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Oher has been under the league's concussion protocol for eight months, and, despite being an active participant in offseason workouts earlier in the spring, has not been present at OTAs. However, there haven't been any signs he's legitimately considering ending his career.
