Saints' Ziggy Hood: Headed to New Orleans
Hood signed a contract with the Saints on Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Hood figures to provide the Saints with defensive line depth and veteran experience. The 10-year veteran appeared in 13 games between the Dolphins and Redskins in 2018, compiling nine tackles (four solo). Hood will work to earn a reserve role in New Orleans and isn't a lock to make the 53-man roster.

Hood (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.
Hood has been dealing with the hamstring issue for the last couple weeks and was a limited participant at practice. Rookie Kendrick Norton was signed last week and brings added depth to defensive tackle should Hood be unable to suit up Sunday.

Hood left Sunday's game against the Vikings with a hamstring injury, Safid Deen of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Hood was designated questionable to return although it is unknown at this time whether he was cleared to do so. If he can't go in Week 16 against the Jaguars, Sylvester Williams could see increased snaps at defensive tackle.

Dolphins' Ziggy Hood: Signs with Miami
Hood signed with the Dolphins on Tuesday, Armando Salguero of The Miami Herald reports.
The 31-year-old defensive tackle saw action with Washington this season before he was released Oct. 16. Miami was dealt a blow to its defensive line when Vincent Taylor was carted off the field Thursday with a foot injury. If Taylor is unable to play Sunday, Hood could see some snaps at defensive tackle behind Davon Godchaux and Akeem Spence.

Ziggy Hood: Released by Redskins
Hood was released by the Redskins on Tuesday, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports.
Hood has been out of the rotation on the defensive line since Week 2, so this news is not all that surprising. The veteran will now look for a new landing spot. Tim Settle and Caleb Brantley are now the only depth defensive linemen on the Redskins' roster.

Hood saw the field for the first time since fracturing his elbow in December of 2017, replacing Matt Ioannidis (ankle, knee). Looking ahead, Hood is expected to play a backup role when the regular season begins.

Redskins' Ziggy Hood: Ruled out for season finale
Hood was diagnosed Tuesday with a fractured right elbow and won't play in the Redskins' season finale against the Giants, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Head coach Jay Gruden revealed Hood wouldn't require surgery to address the injury, but the nose tackle will be shut down nonetheless in order to recover from the setback. Hood will wrap up the 2017 campaign with 25 tackles (13 solo) and a half sack over 15 appearances.

Hood (elbow) will receive an MRI on Monday.
Per the report, Hood dislocated his elbow during Sunday's game and will have to undergo further evaluations to determine the extent of the injury. Hood's status for Week 17 should be more clear following the MRI results.
