Ottawa released Kulemin on Monday from his professional tryout agreement.
Kulemin has 121 goals and 274 points in 669 career NHL contests, but he has spent the last six seasons in the KHL. The 38-year-old forward may need to sign with an AHL team or a European squad to continue playing in 2024-25.

Kulemin inked a professional tryout agreement with the Senators on Thursday.
Kulemin hasn't played in North America since the 2017-18 campaign. He had 13 goals and 25 points in 46 regular-season outings with the KHL's Ufa Salavat Yulayev in 2023-24. At his height in the NHL, Kulemin had 30 goals and 57 points in 82 contests with the Maple Leafs in 2010-11, but at the age of 38, he's unlikely to serve in more than a bottom-six role if he makes the Senators' roster at all.
