Predators' Roman Josi: Plays hero in OT win
Josi scored two goals, including the overtime winner, placed three shots on net and recorded two blocks in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over Edmonton.
Josi willed the Predators back into Tuesday's contest with the game-tying goal in the second period. When the extra period rolled around, he stole the puck from Edmonton goalie Tristan Jarry, who left the crease to knock away a pass. Josi received a feed from Brady Skjei seconds later that he buried for the OT winner. Tuesday's pair of twine finders brings Josi up to eight goals, 23 points, 88 shots on net and 51 blocks through 34 games this season. While his season totals don't jump off the page as much as they have in seasons past, the Swiss blueliner has five points in his last two games and six goals in his past 11 outings. His scoring potential is undeniable, as he's well on the pace to reach double-digit goals for the 11th time in his career. Look for Nashville's captain to push for another 50-point campaign.

Predators' Roman Josi: Pops off for three points
Josi scored a power-play goal on two shots, dished two assists and added two PIM in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Capitals.
One of Josi's helpers also came on the power play. The 35-year-old defenseman had gone 12 games without a multi-point effort entering this contest, and he had just four points and a minus-7 rating in that span. Getting Josi healthy and productive has been a big part of the Predators' success over the last month, and he remains a strong option for fantasy blue lines.

Josi lit the lamp on a first-period power play to give the Predators an early 2-1 lead. With the twine finder, he is up to three goals, 16 points, 60 shots on net and 36 blocks through 24 games this season. Over the last 15 games, he has 11 points, 37 shots on net and 20 blocks. His strong run of play has him firmly back in the top tier of defensemen across all fantasy formats.

Josi hasn't found the back of the net since Nov. 26, when he scored a goal in a 6-3 victory over the Red Wings, but he remains a productive offensive weapon on the blue line. Since missing 12 contests due to an upper-body injury from Oct. 25 - Nov. 16, Josi has appeared in 12 straight games for the Preds and has racked up nine points (one goal, eight assists), 10 PIM, 34 shots, four hits, 13 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating during that span.

Josi grabbed an apple on the power play during Ryan O'Reilly's game-winning goal. The 35-year-old Josi, as well as the rest of the Predators' roster, struggled a year ago. Josi missed 29 games between a lower-body injury and a concussion, so his power-play assist on the game-winning tally was a welcome sight for all Nashville fans. The star blueliner posted his second-best offensive season just two years ago with 85 points, and he's showcased that he still has a lot left to give. Josi is a clear bounce-back candidate for the 2025-26 season and will challenge many of the league's best defensemen in points if he can stay healthy.

Josi (concussion) is healthy and available for the start of training camp, TSN reports Thursday.
Josi missed the end of last season due to a concussion, and he was later diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. However, he worked with experts during the offseason to manage his diagnosis, and he feels good to begin training camp. The 35-year-old was limited to just 53 regular-season appearances last year, and while he could get some occasional nights off during the 2025-26 campaign to manage his workload, it wouldn't be surprising to see him bounce back.

Josi (concussion) expects to play in the 2025-26 season after being diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, per Swiss news outlet Blick on Tuesday.
Josi kept experiencing headaches well into his recovery from a season-ending concussion, which is one of the symptoms of the condition. It can also result in a fast heart rate, fatigue and dizziness when transitioning from sitting or lying down to standing. Josi missed the final 25 games of the 2024-25 regular season after suffering a concussion against Florida on Feb. 25. He is feeling better, but his availability for training camp is currently unclear.

Josi is week-to-week and will miss at least the rest of Nashville's road trip, which finishes in Boston on Tuesday. He has nine goals and 38 points through 53 games this season. The Predators recalled Spencer Stastney from AHL Milwaukee in a corresponding move.
