Rangers' J.T. Miller: Three helpers in Thursday's win
Miller notched three assists in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Senators.
Helpers on tallies by Mika Zibanejad and Vladislav Gavrikov in the first period put the Rangers in the lead for good, and Miller capped off his big night by feeding Artemi Panarin for an empty-netter. It's Miller's first multi-performance in five games since returning from a brief absence due to an upper-body injury, and after a sluggish start to the season, the 32-year-old has three goals and eight points in his last seven contests.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Five points in last five games
Miller scored a goal Saturday in a 4-1 loss to the Lightning.
Miller was at the left post, and Adam Fox passed him the puck, which went off his skate and in. Early in the month, Miller had been mired in a deep slump (eight games; one goal, one assist). However, Miller has five points, including three goals, in his last five games. The four shots in his last five games stand out in a bad way, though -- he needs to get a lot more pucks on net to help lift his team into a postseason spot.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Adds helper in return
Miller logged an assist, two hits and two PIM in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Hurricanes.
Miller missed the previous two games due to an upper-body injury, but he logged 18:00 of ice time in his return. He's posted four points over his last three outings. For the season, the 32-year-old forward has six goals, seven helpers, 51 shots on net, 56 hits and a minus-6 rating through 23 appearances in a top-six role.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Slated to play
Miller (upper body) is expected to be in the lineup versus the Hurricanes on Wednesday, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.
Miller has missed two games with the injury. He is poised to return to a second-line role and should also feature on the power play. Conor Sheary will be a healthy scratch to accommodate Miller's return.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Labeled game-time call
Miller (upper body) is considered a game-time decision ahead of Wednesday's matchup with Carolina, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.
Miller has missed the last two games with his day-to-day injury. In his past five outings, the 32-year-old forward has notched three goals, including a pair with the man advantage, on seven shots. If Miller receives the all-clear, he should move into a top-six role for the Rangers in addition to linking up with the No. 1 power-play unit.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Joining road trip
Miller (upper body) will be with the Rangers for their two-game road trip that kicks off against the Hurricanes on Wednesday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
Miller has managed just six goals in 22 games this season, which has him on pace to just barely get over the 20-goal threshold this year. Not exactly the 30-goal producer the Rangers were hoping for when they brought him back from Vancouver last year.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Won't play Monday
Miller (upper body) won't play against St. Louis on Monday, per Colin Stephenson of Newsday.
Miller remains day-to-day and will miss his second straight game. He has racked up six goals, 12 points, 51 shots on net and 54 hits through 22 appearances this season. Jonny Brodzinski has been occupying a top-six role due to Miller's absence.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Considered day-to-day
Miller (upper body) is day-to-day and won't play against Utah on Saturday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
Miller has generated six goals, 12 points, 51 shots on net and 54 hits across 22 appearances this season. Based on the morning skate, Alexis Lafreniere will move up to the top line, and Juuso Parssinen will draw back into Saturday's lineup after being a healthy scratch for Thursday's 6-3 loss to Colorado.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Two power-play goals in loss
Miller scored two power-play goals on three shots, added two hits and went minus-4 in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Avalanche.
Miller has three goals and an assist over his last five games. These goals were his first power-play points since a helper Oct. 23 versus the Sharks. The 32-year-old forward is up to six goals, 12 points (four on the power play), 51 shots on net, 54 hits, six PIM and a minus-7 rating through 22 contests. He's on pace for his worst full-length season since 2018-19 with the Lightning, but Miller has the talent and the ice time (20:41 per game) to find another gear on offense.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Scores winner in shootout
Miller scored the game-winning tally in the shootout and added two hits in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Blue Jackets.
Miller fired a snap shot that found twine to help the Rangers win both the shootout and the game 2-1. Overall, the 32-year-old center has nine points and 50 hits this season. While his offensive outputs have been minimal as New York's offense has struggled at points this season, Miller has still provided some value in banger leagues with his high hit total. He has four goals and nine points through 19 games.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Scores early in win
Miller scored a goal on two shots and added four hits in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Lightning.
Miller ended a four-game slide with the tally, though the Rangers were shut out twice in that span. The 32-year-old forward has been listed as a winger since Vincent Trocheck returned from an upper-body injury. Miller and Mika Zibanejad appear to be sharing the center duties on the top line, so expect slightly lower faceoff counts for both until the lineup gets shuffled. Miller is up to four goals, nine points, 46 shots on net, 48 hits and a minus-2 rating over 18 appearances.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Scores in overtime
Miller scored a goal on five shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Oilers.
Miller completed the Rangers' comeback with a goal at 2:49 of overtime. Offense has been inconsistent for Miller in the early going, as it has been for most of his New York teammates. The 32-year-old has three goals, seven points, 29 shots on net, 27 hits and a minus-1 rating across 12 appearances. Miller's offense should improve as the Rangers find more consistency, and he offers plenty of all-around upside in fantasy.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Two-point night against Sharks
Miller picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Thursday's 6-5 overtime loss to San Jose.
After helping to set up Mika Zibanejad for a tally early in the second period, Miller fed Taylor Raddysh for his third goal of the night midway through the third to tie things up at 5-5. Miller, along with the rest of the Rangers, has had a bumpy start to the season, but the veteran center still has two goals and six points in nine games.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Pots goal vs. Montreal
Miller recorded one goal on four shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Canadiens.
Miller snapped his three-game point drought with a goal only 34 seconds into the third period. This was his second goal of the season, and the 32-year-old is one of several forwards who have endured an underwhelming start to the campaign for the Rangers. Through seven contests, Miller has two goals and two assists, with only one of those four points coming on the power play.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Shows off hands in win
Miller scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 4-0 win over Buffalo.
Miller's goal came on a beauty tip of Braden Schneider's point shot for a 3-0 lead at 17:11 of the final frame. The intense pivot scored at a 90-point pace (13 goals and 22 assists in 32 games) after returning to the Rangers last season. Miller's skill set and edgy temperament will help carry the Rangers this season, although he may not be strong enough to lift them into the postseason.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Cleared for contact
Miller (lower body) practiced in a regular jersey Monday, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.
Miller seems to be trending in the right direction ahead of Tuesday's Opening Night matchup with the Penguins. If the 32-year-old center is cleared in time to face Pittsburgh, he figures to slot into a first-line center role as well as logging time with the No. 1 power-play unit. Last season, Miller missed the 30-goal threshold for the first time since 2020-21 but should be capable of returning to that level in 2025-26.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Good to go for Opening Night
Miller (lower body) will be in the lineup against Pittsburgh on Tuesday, per Mollie Walker of the New York Post.
Miller missed some time during training camp after suffering an injury at practice, but he was a full participant in Monday's session and will be ready for the beginning of the 2025-26 campaign. Miller should log big minutes for the Rangers as part of the team's top six and first power-play combination.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Working in non-contact sweater
Miller (lower body) was practicing in a non-contact jersey Friday, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports.
Considering Miller still hasn't been cleared for full contact, fantasy players probably shouldn't be expecting him to suit up in the preseason finale versus Boston on Saturday. Instead, the Rangers' captain will be hoping to be cleared in time for Opening Night against the Penguins on Tuesday. Once given the all-clear, Miller figures to retake his first-line role in addition to linking up with the No. 1 power-play unit.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Out against Devils
Miller (lower body) won't be in the lineup for Thursday's preseason matchup with New Jersey, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports.
According to head coach Mike Sullivan, Miller is "trending the right way and I believe we'll get him back in a timely manner." Sullivan's comments certainly would seem to indicate that the team is expecting to have Miller in action for Opening Night against the Penguins on Oct. 7, though that hasn't been officially confirmed. If Miller does miss out, Mika Zibanejad looks poised to shift to center while Alexis Lafreniere moves up to the top line.
