  • Blues' Jonathan Drouin: Slated to play Friday

Drouin (not injury related) is expected to play Friday versus Edmonton. Drouin took Thursday's game against Carolina off so that he could return to New York to pick up his things. He hadn't gotten a chance to do so since St. Louis acquired him from the Islanders on March 6. Drouin is back with the Blues and might serve on the second line alongside Pavel Buchnevich and Otto Stenberg versus the Oilers.

  • Blues' Jonathan Drouin: Won't play Thursday

Drouin (not injury related) will miss Thursday's game in Carolina, per Andy Strickland of the FanDuel Sports Network. Drouin was acquired by St. Louis from the Islanders on March 6, but the Islanders were on the road when he was dealt, and he hasn't gotten the opportunity to return to New York to pick up his things. For that reason, Drouin has briefly parted ways with the Blues to gather his stuff. He's expected to be an option for Friday's home game against the Oilers. Nathan Walker might play Thursday due to Drouin's absence.

  • Blues' Jonathan Drouin: Gets first goal with new team

Drouin scored a power-play goal on two shots in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Ducks. Drouin was flipped to the Blues in the Brayden Schenn deal. The 30-year-old Drouin is getting a look on the second line, which should put him in a position to find some offense if he can mesh with his new teammates. He had gone 38 games without a goal to end his Islanders tenure, so he's already off to a better start with the Blues. Drouin has 22 points (six on the power play), 75 shots on net, 19 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 56 appearances this season.

  • Blues' Jonathan Drouin: Dealt ahead of deadline

St. Louis acquired Drouin, a 2026 first-round pick (Colorado), a 2026 third-round selection and Marcus Gidlof from the Islanders on Friday in exchange for Brayden Schenn, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet. Drouin has registered three goals, 21 points and 73 shots on net through 55 appearances this campaign. He still has one more season remaining on his two-year, $8 million contract. Drouin could serve as a middle- or bottom-six forward for the Blues.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: Earns helper in return

Drouin notched a power-play assist and three shots in Wednesday's 5-1 loss to the Ducks. Drouin helped out on Anders Lee's tally in the first period. The 30-year-old Drouin missed one game due to a lower-body injury, and while he was listed on the second line Wednesday, he saw just 13:25 of ice time. His goal drought is up to 37 games, and he's provided just seven helpers in that span, so his trust with head coach Patrick Roy is pretty low at this point. Drouin has 21 points, 73 shots on net, 26 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 54 appearances this season.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: Ready to go Wednesday

Drouin (lower body) told reporters he will be available to face the Ducks on Wednesday, per Andrew Gross of Newsday. Drouin will have missed just one game due to his lower-body injury. His return to the lineup may not impact the majority of fantasy managers, considering he has gone 36 games without finding the back of the net and is pointless in his last 14 outings. With Drouin back in the lineup, Anthony Duclair will likely be relegated to a spot in the press box.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: Unavailable Sunday

Drouin (lower body) won't play against Florida on Sunday, according to Stefen Rosner of NHL.com. Drouin will miss at least one game after sustaining the injury in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over Columbus. He has produced three goals, 20 points and 70 shots on net across 53 appearances this season. Anthony Duclair will replace Drouin in Sunday's lineup against the Panthers.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: Returns to practice

Drouin (illness) was back at practice ahead of Monday's matchup against Washington, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports. Drouin looks set to return to the lineup after missing out versus the Predators on Saturday due to an illness. The 30-year-old forward is currently mired in a 31-game goal drought, and he hasn't recorded a point over his last nine outings. Drouin's offensive struggles will likely see him miss the 40-point threshold for the second straight year.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: Under the weather

Drouin (illness) won't play Saturday versus the Predators, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports. Max Shabanov will replace Drouin in the lineup. It's unclear at this time if Drouin will be able to play Monday versus the Capitals. The 30-year-old Drouin is in the midst of a nine-game point drought.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: Registers two helpers Saturday

Drouin notched two assists and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Maple Leafs. Drouin has started January with three helpers over two games. He had just one assist over nine outings in December, though he lost five contests to a back injury. Drouin now has 19 points, 51 shots on net, 17 PIM and a plus-3 rating over 36 appearances. He's still got fantasy appeal as long as he stays in the top six and on the first power-play unit, but he's far from being a must-have player.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: First assist since return

Drouin recorded an assist and put a shot in goal in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Red Wings. Drouin chipped in with a secondary helper on Emil Heineman's goal within the first five minutes of the opening period. With the helper, Drouin is up to 13 assists, 16 points and 40 shots on net through 28 games this season. With Kyle Palmieri (knee) out for the season, Drouin should play elevated responsibilities, and he has recorded at least 20 minutes of ice time in both games he has appeared in since his return from a back injury. His move up to the top line displayed the confidence that the Isles' coaching staff has in the 30-year-old winger, who scored 56 points in 79 regular-season games just two years ago. Drouin is a buy-low candidate in fantasy with high upside if he can retain his new role.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: Ready for Saturday

Drouin (back) is participating at Friday's optional practice and is slated to return to action Saturday versus Tampa Bay, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports. Drouin was in a slump prior to getting hurt, as he had only one assist in a nine-game span from Nov. 16 - Dec. 2. Overall, the 30-year-old has three goals and 12 assists in 26 appearances. He should slot back as a top-six forward upon his return.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: Won't play versus Ducks

Drouin (back) will not be in the lineup against Anaheim on Thursday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports. Drouin has been out of action for the Isles' last four contests and will now be on the shelf for a fifth. Prior to suffering his back injury, the 30-year-old center was mired in a nine-game goal drought during which he registered one assist, 17 shots and six blocks while averaging 18:52 of ice time. With Drouin on the shelf, the Isles have shifted Jean-Gabriel Pageau to the wing on the second line for Mathew Barzal.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: Remains unavailable

Drouin (back) isn't expected to play against Vegas on Tuesday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports. Drouin is poised to miss his fourth straight game, but he did skate on his own with skills coach Troy Stevens on Tuesday. The 30-year-old Drouin has three goals, 15 points and 38 shots on net across 26 appearances this season.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: Not on road trip

Drouin (back) didn't accompany the Islanders on the team's two-game road trip, according to Stefen Rosner of NHL.com on Saturday. Drouin is recovering from a minor tweak, but he will miss at least Saturday's matchup against Tampa Bay and Sunday's contest versus Florida. He has registered three goals, 12 assists and 38 shots on net across 26 appearances this season. Maxim Tsyplakov will remain in the top six due to Drouin's absence.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: Late scratch Thursday

Drouin (lower body) was a late scratch for Thursday's game against Colorado. Drouin has three goals and 15 points in 26 outings this season. He's considered day-to-day, so it remains to be seen if he'll play Saturday or Sunday against Tampa Bay or Florida, respectively. Maxim Tsyplakov, who might have otherwise been a healthy scratch Thursday, is in the lineup against the Avalanche.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: Scores tying goal

Drouin scored a goal in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Mammoth. The goal was technically an own goal by the Mammoth, so Drouin scored without officially recording a shot on goal in this contest. It was initially waved off for a kicking motion before a video review ruled Drouin was not the one to propel the puck into the net. The 30-year-old is up to two goals and five assists during his four-game point streak. For the season, the forward has three goals, 14 points, 21 shots on net, 17 PIM and a plus-7 rating through 17 appearances.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: Records two assists Thursday

Drouin logged two assists, including one on the power play, in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights. Drouin is heating up in a big way with six points over three games to begin this road trip for the Islanders. The 30-year-old has earned two of his five helpers in that span on the power play. Drouin has two goals, 11 assists, 21 shots on net, 17 PIM and a plus-7 rating through 16 appearances, filling a playmaking role in the top six and on the first power-play unit this season.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: Tallies trio of points

Drouin scored a goal, registered two assists and recorded a block in Saturday's 5-0 win over the Rangers. Drouin found twine with less than a minute to play in the first period before picking up two assists, with his first being on a power play. It was a much-needed performance for him, as he was on a four-game scoreless streak. Overall, the 30-year-old forward has two goals, 10 points and 17 shots on net in 14 appearances this season. While Drouin's numbers don't immediately jump off the page, he is averaging a career-high 4:08 of power-play time this season. His extra time with the man advantage could continue to pay dividends as he chases the fourth 50-point season of his 12-year career. With his current opportunities in the Islanders' top six and solid output offensively, Drouin has good value in deeper fantasy leagues.

  • Islanders' Jonathan Drouin: Assist streak at three games

Drouin registered an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Senators. Drouin has a helper in each of his three outings since returning from a one-game suspension for cross-checking in the season-opener versus the Penguins. He's gotten on the scoresheet in all four games this season, with one goal and three assists. He's added seven shots on net, 15 PIM and a plus-5 rating. Drouin adds next to nothing in the physical categories, but he's clearly finding a groove in the Islanders' top six.
