Monahan is riding a three-game point streak with six points over that stretch, and the 31-year-old should remain a key contributor for the Blue Jackets. His hot streak of late has raised his numbers to 16 points in 27 contests.

Blue Jackets' Sean Monahan: Set to play Thursday
Monahan (undisclosed) will play in Thursday's game against the Red Wings, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.
Monahan exited Monday's win over New Jersey due to an undisclosed injury, but he'll be able to suit up a few days later. Monahan (undisclosed) left Monday's 5-3 win over New Jersey in the third period and didn't return, according to Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers on Tuesday.
Monahan has played through injury for most of the season, but he hasn't missed a game yet. However, it's unclear if he will be in the lineup against Detroit on Thursday. Columbus recalled Luca Del Bel Belluz from AHL Cleveland on an emergency basis Tuesday, and put Mathieu Olivier (upper body) on injured reserve.

Monahan ended a nine-game goal drought Friday. He earned just three assists in that span. Brian Hedger of The Columbus Dispatch reported earlier Friday that Monahan is likely playing through one or more minor injuries, which may explain his drop in productivity after it looked like the center had turned a corner in late October. On the year, Monahan has three goals, 11 points, 51 shots on net and a plus-2 rating over 25 appearances. If he's not at 100 percent, it'll be nearly impossible for him to match his total of 57 points from just 54 outings in 2024-25.
