Oilers' Brett Kulak: Expected back Tuesday
Kulak (illness) is slated to play versus the Ducks on Tuesday, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.
Kulak was absent from Monday's practice but appears to have recovered from his illness ahead of Tuesday's tilt. The defenseman has already set new career highs in goals (seven), points (21) and average ice time (20:06) with games still remaining. With Kulak healthy, Cam Dineen and Troy Stecher are set to serve as healthy scratches.

Oilers' Brett Kulak: Under the weather
Kulak is dealing with an illness and did not skate Monday, Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton reports.
Edmonton recalled Cam Dineen from AHL Bakersfield on an emergency basis Monday, so Kulak's availability for Tuesday's game against the Ducks is in question. Kulak has yet to miss a game this season. If the left-shot blueliner can't suit up Tuesday, Troy Stecher or Dineen will fill his spot in the lineup.

Kulak now has a career-high seven goals this season after tying Thursday's game at 1-1 in the first period. He's also two points away from a new career high after reaching the 20-point mark for the third time in four years. On top of his slight gains on offense, the eight blocks Thursday represented a season high. Oilers' Brett Kulak: Nabs assist Wednesday
Kulak logged an assist and three shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blackhawks.
Kulak has three helpers over three games to begin February. The 31-year-old defenseman helped out on Viktor Arvidsson's opening tally in the second period. Kulak has mostly stayed in a depth role on the Oilers' blue line, but he's at 19 points through 54 appearances, putting him on pace for a career year. He's added 88 shots on net, 81 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating. Kulak is likely to take on heavier defensive matchups, freeing up John Klingberg to see more usage when the Oilers have the puck.
