Gostisbehere notched two assists, including one on the power play, in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Kings.
Gostisbehere has three goals and three helpers over three games since he returned from a lower-body injury. The 32-year-old helped out on Jordan Staal's opening goal and Sebastian Aho's game-winner. Gostisbehere has been excellent when healthy, racking up nine goals, 29 helpers, 13 power-play points, 80 shots on net, 44 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating through 38 appearances. He should benefit from the Olympic break to get some rest, assuming he stays healthy through the last two games prior to the break.

Despite having suited up for just nine games in January, Gostisbehere has been on fire, as he tallied his fifth goal of the month Saturday. With the twine finder, he is up to nine goals, 36 points, 79 shots on net and 44 blocked shots across 37 games this season. Not only is the 32-year-old blueliner on pace to surpass his 45-point output across 70 regular-season games a year ago, but he's also tracking towards his third-best shooting percentage, as he currently has scored on 10.5 percent of his shots on goal this season. When healthy, he is an elite fantasy option from the blue line, and he should continue to play a busy role for the Hurricanes with the man advantage.

Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Grabs three points in return

Gostisbehere scored on a power play late in the second period before playing a pivotal role in the Hurricanes' late comeback in his return from a five-game absence due to a lower-body injury. After sliding the primary helper on Andrei Svechnikov's goal with the man advantage, Gostisbehere found the back of the net himself at even strength 32 seconds later to tie the contest at four goals apiece. With the three-point performance, Gostisbehere is up to eight goals, 27 assists, 76 shots on net and 42 blocked shots through 36 games in 2025-26. While he's dealt with injuries throughout the season, the 32-year-old blueliner has been elite when healthy. Thursday's outing was his fourth of the season with three points and his eighth multi-point effort. Barring injury, Gostisbehere is on track to finish the year with a career high in points per game, giving him strong fantasy value from the blue line moving forward.
