Blue Jackets' Dante Fabbro: Pots first goal for Columbus
Rotowire
Fabbro scored his first goal of the season in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Canadiens.
The former Predator ruined Sam Montembeault's shutout bid midway through the second period, blasting a shot from the point through heavy traffic, but it was all the offense the Jackets could muster. Fabbro has two points in three games since joining Columbus on waivers, and he even saw some power-play shifts Saturday as he gets a look as Zach Werenski's partner on the blue line.

Blue Jackets' Dante Fabbro: Claimed by Columbus
Rotowire
Fabbro was claimed off waivers by the Blue Jackets, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Fabbro will get another chance in the NHL after he was waived by Nashville on Saturday. The 26-year-old blueliner failed to record a point in six games with the Preds this season after logging 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) in 56 regular-season appearances in 2023-24. Predators' Dante Fabbro: Lands on waivers
Rotowire
Fabbro was put on waivers by the Predators on Saturday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Fabbro was selected with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft and had successfully established himself as a part of the Predators' blue line, recording 24 points in 66 regular-season outings in 2021-22, followed by 11 points, 50 PIM, 113 hits and 129 blocks across 79 regular-season appearances in 2022-23. However, he logged just 56 regular-season games last campaign, and the 26-year-old has been used even more sparingly this year. He has no points, a minus-3 rating, one hit and seven blocks across six outings in 2024-25 while averaging 13:06 of ice time. The defenseman has also been a healthy scratch in five straight games. Given his $2.5 million cap hit, Fabbro will likely go unclaimed and could be reassigned to the AHL Milwaukee.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Struggling to stay in lineup
Rotowire
Fabbro was scratched for the fourth time in the Predators' first 10 games when he sat out Thursday versus the Oilers.
Fabbro is often listed on the top pairing, but he's exceeded 15 minutes of ice time in just two of his six appearances. He's added seven shots on net, a minus-3 rating and seven blocked shots, but he's yet to record a point. Fabbro is competing with Marc Del Gaizo for the last spot on the blue line.

Rotowire
Fabbro (upper body) will return to the lineup Saturday against the Avalanche, Zach Gilchriest of the Predators' official site reports.
After missing the past seven games, Fabbro will be paired with Roman Josi in Saturday's contest. The 25-year-old Fabbro has two goals, 12 points and 83 blocked shots in 53 appearances this season. Tyson Barrie will be a healthy scratch because of Fabbro's return.

Rotowire
Fabbro (upper body) will miss two or three weeks after leaving Sunday's game against Minnesota.
Fabbro has played 53 contests for the Predators this year, recording two goals and 10 assists. The 25-year-old will look to be back in time for the playoffs, as the Predators currently hold the number one wild-card spot. Fabbro will be a valuable defensive piece come playoff time, as he's recorded 43 hits and 83 blocked shots.

Fabbro has two goals, 12 points, 43 hits and 79 blocks in 51 outings in 2023-24. He was eligible to become a restricted free agent with arbitration rights this summer, but this signing will allow Nashville to avoid that process.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Supplies pair of assists
Rotowire
Fabbro notched two assists, two hits, two blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Ducks.
Fabbro snapped a five-game point drought with the pair of helpers. Sunday's effort doubled his point total in 2024. The 25-year-old defenseman has two goals, 10 helpers, 51 shots on net, 43 hits, 71 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating through 46 appearances. Fabbro has exceeded the 11 points he recorded in 79 outings a season ago, but he's only worth streaming in DFS when he's paired with Roman Josi.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Gets rare start Saturday
Rotowire
Fabbro returned from a three-game stint as a healthy scratch in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Blues, but he failed to crack the scoresheet in 17:09 of ice time.
Fabbro's presence in the lineup is too unpredictable these days to count on him for fantasy production. Throw in his low scoring totals (2G, 8A in 42 games), and it's really hard to recommend him outside of very deep leagues. The 25-year-old defender posted a career-best 24 points two seasons ago, but it's difficult to imagine him getting back to that level anytime soon.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Nabs assist in shootout win
Rotowire
Fabbro produced an assist in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over the Capitals.
Fabbro had gone four games without a point, and he has just three helpers over 10 outings in December. The 25-year-old has found steadier playing time with Tyson Barrie (upper body) unavailable since the holiday break ended. Fabbro should be able to hold onto a third-pairing role for a while. He's at eight points, 31 shots on net, 21 hits, 43 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 28 appearances -- that's not enough offense to create much intrigue in fantasy.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Scoring woes continue
Rotowire
Fabbro failed to crack the scoresheet in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers, his third game back in the lineup following a three-game absence as a healthy scratch.
Fabbro recorded a career-high 24 points two seasons ago with the Preds but took a step back last season with just 11 points in 79 games. With just five points in 19 games this season, Fabbro doesn't move the fantasy needle enough to warrant much consideration outside of deeper leagues.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: One of each in loss
Rotowire
Fabbro scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in the Predators' 7-5 loss to the Coyotes on Saturday.
Fabbro scored off a one-timer in the slot to give the Predators a 3-2 lead. He also collected an assist on Filip Forsberg's second goal. Fabbro had been struggling offensively before Saturday's game, scoring just two points in his first 12 games. Saturday's performance snapped a four-game pointless drought and gave him his first points in November. Fabbro should continue to see minutes on the top pairing.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Back on scoresheet
Rotowire
Fabbro delivered an assist and three blocked shots in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Sharks.
Fabbro is situated in a top-four role early this season, but he lacks power-play utility as well as the type of offensive firepower that fantasy managers require. The helper was Fabbro's first point through five games, and the 2016 first-round draft pick is averaging just one shot per contest. He's asked to fill a defensive role while skating on a pairing with the highly productive Roman Josi, who dropped 155 points over the last two seasons alone.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Agrees to one-year extension
Rotowire
Fabbro signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract extension with Nashville on Friday, per Jeff Marek of Sportsnet.
Fabbro has a goal, eight points, 36 PIM, 71 hits and 83 blocks in 56 contests while averaging 16:04 of ice time this season. The 24-year-old is playing through the final season of a two-year, $4.8 million contract. Before signing the extension, Fabbro was eligible to become a restricted free agent this summer.
Fabbro was a plus-3 and had three blocked shots in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Sharks, but he failed to crack the scoresheet for the 14th straight game.
With a career-high 24 points last season, the 24-year-old Fabbro appeared to be developing offensively on the Preds' blue line. However, following the addition of Ryan McDonagh during the offseason, Fabbro has been skating on the third pairing and averaging three fewer minutes of ice time compared to last year (16:03 vs. 19:03). Unsurprisingly, his offensive totals have taken a hit, with just one goal and seven assists in 53 games. Fabbro's still worth keeping an eye on, but he isn't worth a roster spot on your fantasy squad at this time.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Snags assist in Saturday's loss
Rotowire
Fabbro notched an assist and blocked two shots in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Sabres.
Fabbro had a shot tipped in by Ryan Johansen to tie the game at 3-3 in the second period. This was Fabbro's first helper through five appearances in January, though he was a healthy scratch for a couple of contests to begin the month. The 24-year-old blueliner has struggled to generates offense this season with one goal, seven assists, 53 shots on net and a plus-3 rating in 39 outings. He's added 60 blocked shots and 49 hits, providing some physical play in a bottom-four role.
Fabbro notched an assist in Saturday's overtime loss to the Golden Knights.
Now with just seven points on the season (1G, 6A), Fabbro continues to regress from the career-high 24 points he posted last season. Unfortunately for him, the offseason addition of Ryan McDonagh has pushed Fabbro down the Preds' depth chart, resulting in reduced ice time and fewer opportunites to contribute offensively.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Struggling offensively
Rotowire
Fabbro extended his current scoring drought to eight games Saturday against the Senators.
Fabbro enjoyed a career-high 24-point season last year, but he's taken a step back so far this year. With just four assists in 24 games, he'll be lucky to crack the 15-point mark given his current pace. It's worth noting, however, that Fabbro's ice time has fallen by nearly three minutes per game this year (16:10 vs. 19:03 last year), so that may be part of the problem. He's currently skating on the third defensive pairing with Jeremy Lauzon.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Slides helper in loss
Rotowire
Fabbro posted an assist and two blocked shots in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Avalanche.
Fabbro set up defense partner Roman Josi for a goal in the third period. This was Fabbro's second assist in three contests since he sat out a game as a healthy scratch, so he clearly received the message sent from head coach John Hynes. The 24-year-old blueliner has three assists, 19 hits, 16 blocked shots, 16 shots on net, eight PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 13 appearances.
