  • Hockey Club's Mikhail Sergachev: Leads with three points

Sergachev scored a power-play goal, notched two assists and added two PIM in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Flames. One of Sergachev's helpers also came on the power play. He's scored in consecutive games and has five points over his last three outings. The defenseman is up to nine points (three on the power play), 22 shots on net, 20 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 11 contests this season. Sergachev continues to see heavy minutes in all situations as Utah's No. 1 blueliner.

  • Hockey Club's Mikhail Sergachev: Pots goal Monday

Sergachev scored a goal on four shots in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Sharks. Sergachev's first goal of the campaign stretched Utah's lead to 4-1 late in the second period, but the team collapsed in the final five minutes of the third. The 26-year-old Sergachev has six points over 10 contests, though only one of those points, an assist, has come on the power play. He's added 21 shots on net, 19 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating. He's head-and-shoulders above the rest of Utah's defense corps in usage with an average of 26:07 of ice time per game -- that much action will lead to fairly strong production across the board.

  • Hockey Club's Mikhail Sergachev: Generates assist Saturday

Sergachev registered an assist in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Kings. Sergachev had put up just one assist over his previous six contests. The 26-year-old blueliner has become a player to focus on for opposing teams, as the Utah defense corps is missing John Marino (back) and Sean Durzi (shoulder) due to long-term injuries. Sergachev has produced five assists, 17 shots on net, four hits, 18 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating through nine appearances while playing on the top pairing and first power-play unit.

  • Hockey Club's Mikhail Sergachev: Garners assist in overtime loss

Sergachev logged an assist and four blocked shots in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Ducks. Sergachev figures to be an even bigger part of Utah's game plan now that Sean Durzi (upper body) is sidelined. Sergachev is up to four assists (one on the power play), five shots on goal and 12 blocked shots through five contests. The 26-year-old defenseman is poised to play big minutes in all situations, which could set him up to challenge his career-best 64-point campaign from 2022-23.

  • Hockey Club's Mikhail Sergachev: Two assists Thursday

Sergachev picked up two assists in Thursday's 5-4 overtime win against the Islanders. Sergachev registered the primary assist on Barrett Hayton's second-period marker before adding a power-play assist on Dylan Guenther's third-period tally. Sergachev added one shot, three blocks, two takeaways and a minus-1 rating in 24:59 of ice time. The left-shot defenseman is in his first year with his new club after being acquired in a trade from Tampa Bay in June. Sergachev should be a highly-valued blueliner from a fantasy perspective this season -- the 2016 first-round pick is skating on Utah's top defense pair while also being insulated with offensive talent on the club's top power-play unit.

  • Hockey Club's Mikhail Sergachev: Picks up assist in team debut

Sergachev notched an assist in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blackhawks. Traded from the Lightning to Utah at the draft, Sergachev is poised to be the new franchise's leader on the blue line. The 26-year-old defenseman saw a team-high 23:52 of ice time Tuesday, and he was able to contribute an assist when Barrett Hayton tipped in his shot. Sergachev was limited to 19 points, 70 blocked shots and a minus-16 rating over 34 games in 2023-24, but his struggles can be attributed to missing 48 of the last 49 regular-season contests due to two separate lower-body injuries. When healthy, Sergachev has flashed 60-point potential and also contributed plenty of hits and blocked shots.

  • Mikhail Sergachev: Traded to Utah

Utah acquired Sergachev from Tampa Bay on Saturday in exchange for Conor Geekie, J.J. Moser, a 2025 second-round pick and a 2024 seventh-round selection. No salary was retained by the Lightning in the deal, meaning Utah will absorb Sergachev's $8.5 million cap hit through the 2030-31 season. The defender is coming off an injury-riddled year but showed his elite value with a dominant 64-point campaign in 2022-23. Sergachev immediately assumes number-one status in Utah and will run the team's power play.

  • Lightning's Mikhail Sergachev: Notches helper in return

Sergachev (leg) picked up an assist and added two blocked shots and a hit in 17:03 of ice time during Saturday's 6-3 Game 4 win over the Panthers. Seeing his first game action since fracturing his left leg in multiple places Feb. 7, Sergachev gave the Lightning an emotional boost with his surprising and early return, helping Tampa Bay avoid getting swept out of the first round. The 25-year-old blueliner didn't see his usual workload, but that's to be expected given his long layoff. He'll likely see similar ice time Monday in Game 5.

  • Lightning's Mikhail Sergachev: Won't be back for Round 1

Sergachev (leg) won't be available for the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site reports. Sergachev, who took part in Monday's practice, underwent surgery in early February to stabilize fractures to the tibia and fibula in his left leg. Head coach Jon Cooper is encouraged by Sergachev's progress but acknowledged that the Lightning may need to win a round or two in the postseason before the 25-year-old defender is available to return to the lineup. In 34 contests during the 2023-24 campaign, Sergachev posted two goals, 19 points and 53 shots on net.

Sergachev (leg) was moved to long-term injured reserve Tuesday, per CapFriendly. • Lightning's Mikhail Sergachev: Hurt versus Rangers

Sergachev needed to be stretchered off the ice after sustaining an apparent left leg injury Wednesday versus the Rangers, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports. Sergachev's return from a 17-game absence was cut short when he went down following a reverse hit from Alexis Lafreniere. The fact that Sergachev needed to be stretchered off is not a good sign, though it's unclear if the Lightning will have an update on his status following the contest. Calvin de Haan or Haydn Fleury could fill in if Sergachev is forced to miss time again.

  • Lightning's Mikhail Sergachev: Expected to return Wednesday

Sergachev (lower body) will be activated off the long-term injured reserve and play Wednesday versus the Rangers, per Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site. Defensemen Calvin de Haan and Haydn Fleury are projected to be healthy scratches versus New York.

  • Lightning's Mikhail Sergachev: Not expected back before All-Star break

Sergachev (lower body) isn't expected to be back until after the All-Star break, with a potential target date for his return being Feb. 7 versus the Rangers, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports. It sounds like Sergachev, who's already missed 11 games, will likely be sidelined for at least six more contests with his lower-body issue. Emil Martinsen Lilleberg will likely stick with the big club until Sergachev, who's picked up 19 points through 33 contests this season, is ready to return.

Sergachev (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, per CapFriendly. Sergachev has been out since Dec. 21, and he'll finally land on injured reserve, presumably to give the Lightning an extra roster spot. The team is dealing with an injury crisis on the blue line, as Erik Cernak (upper body) and Haydn Fleury (hand) are also unavailable. Sergachev can be activated whenever he is available to play.

  • Lightning's Mikhail Sergachev: Won't play versus Jets

Sergachev (lower body) will not be in the lineup against Winnipeg on Tuesday, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reports. Sergachev missed the last five games for the Lightning and is set to be out of action for at least one more due to his lower-body issue. With Erik Cernak (upper body) also unavailable, the Bolts are expected to roll with just five blueliners in Tuesday's contest.

  • Lightning's Mikhail Sergachev: Out again Sunday

Sergachev (lower body) won't play Sunday versus the Canadiens, Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site reports. Sergachev will miss his fifth straight game with the injury. His absence allows Haydn Fleury to draw another game in a bottom-four role, while Darren Raddysh continues to soak up most of Sergachev's power-play time. The Lightning's next game is Tuesday versus the Jets.
