Guenther logged an assist and three shots on goal in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Golden Knights. Guenther looks to be warming up again with a goal and three assists over his last four games. The 21-year-old winger remains in a steady second-line role, and his offense has rounded out a bit after being goal-heavy early in the season. He's up to seven tallies, 14 points, 42 shots on net, 12 PIM and a plus-5 rating through 17 appearances.

  • Hockey Club's Dylan Guenther: Picks up pair of helpers

Guenther logged two power-play assists, two shots on goal and four PIM in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Flames. Guenther had his minutes cut early in the game, Belle Fraser of The Salt Lake Tribune reports, but head coach Andre Tourigny liked the way the 21-year-old winger responded once he got back on the ice. This is likely just a teaching moment for a young player. Guenther is finding his stride again with a goal and three assists over his last three games, though he has 10 PIM across his five outings. Overall, he has six goals, four assists, 28 shots on net, 10 PIM and a plus-4 rating across 11 appearances.

  • Hockey Club's Dylan Guenther: Buries goal in overtime loss

Guenther scored a goal on three shots, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Sharks. This was Guenther's first goal since he scored five times over the first three games of the year. The 21-year-old winger was never going to sustain that pace, but he should average out at a strong level in his first full NHL campaign. He's at six goals, two assists, 26 shots on net, six PIM and a plus-4 rating through 10 appearances in a top-six role.

Guenther scored Utah's first goal as a franchise just 4:56 into the game, and he added an empty-netter in the third period. While the Blackhawks aren't much of an intimidating opponent, Guenther is off to a good start. He will likely play a large role on the power play while starting the campaign in a second-line role. The 21-year-old winger is a breakout candidate in his first full NHL campaign after producing 18 goals and 35 points in 45 contests last season.

Guenther scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Saturday's 2-1 preseason win over the Avalanche. Guenther finishes the preseason with four goals and two assists over four appearances. The 21-year-old winger signed an eight-year contract in September, and while he has yet to play a full NHL season, he figures to be a large part of what's expected to be a step forward for Utah's roster. Guenther had 24 goals and 50 points over 78 career games with the Coyotes across the previous two seasons.

  • Hockey Club's Dylan Guenther: Locked up to big extension

Guenther signed an eight-year contract extension with Utah HC on Friday. The deal is worth roughly $57.14 million, according to Craig Morgan of ALLCITY Network. Guenther has just 78 NHL games on his resume, so there's a clear risk in making this level of commitment to him, but the upside is equally apparent. Selected with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, Guenther had 35 points (18 goals) in 45 games with Arizona in 2023-24 and 28 points (10 markers) across 29 AHL regular-season outings with Tucson. Before his eight-year contract begins, Guenther will complete the final campaign of his entry-level deal in which he's projected to serve in a top-six capacity while also featuring on the first power-play unit.

Guenther scored a goal on five shots, added two hits and blocked three shots in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Blackhawks. The 20-year-old winger has looked good in a middle-six role for much of the season with 18 points (eight on the power play) and 65 shots on net over 28 contests. He got a look on the first line Sunday, but the Coyotes have often rotated players up and down the lineup, so it's unclear how long he'll stick in that spot.

Over the last 12 contests, Guenther has popped for five goals and 10 points. He's especially thriving with the man advantage, with six power-play points (four goals, two helpers) over that stretch.

Moser for a first-period tally, Guenther broke a 4-4 tie in the third by wiring a shot from the high slot past Anton Forsberg. Guenther continues to tease the upside that made him the ninth-overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, and while he hasn't gone on a scoring tear, he hasn't gone more than two games without getting onto the scoresheet since mid-January. Over his last 15 games, Guenther has delivered five goals and 10 points, with four of those tallies coming on the power play.
