Predators' Zachary L'Heureux: Pots first goal of season
L'Heureux scored his first goal of the season in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Sabres.
After going without a point in his first five games since being recalled from AHL Milwaukee after the Olympic break, L'Heureux opened the scoring Saturday by snapping a shot past Alex Lyon from the slot early in the second period. The 2021 first-round pick has plenty of skill, producing 14 goals and 28 points in 28 games for Milwaukee this season, but the 22-year-old L'Heureux hasn't been given much of a chance to show it in the NHL yet.

Predators' Zachary L'Heureux: Summoned from minors
L'Heureux was recalled from AHL MIlwaukee by the Predators, the team announced Sunday.
Roster moves are starting to flow a bit more freely league-wide as teams come out of the Olympic break, and among those moves is the recall of L'Heureux by the Predators. The 22-year-old has spent some time in the NHL this season, but he has yet to suit up for a game. He has played well with AHL Milwaukee this season, recording 28 points (14 goals, 14 assists) in 28 games played.

L'Heureux scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Milwaukee's 5-4 overtime win over Grand Rapids on Tuesday.
L'Heureux has popped off for seven points over his last two games. For the season, he has 18 points in 15 appearances. The 22-year-old drew into 62 NHL games last season, so he probably doesn't have much more to prove at the AHL level.

L'Heureux has four goals and five assists across seven games with the Admirals since he recovered from a lower-body injury sustained during a stint in the NHL. The 22-year-old could be a candidate for future call-ups, but the Predators seem content to let him continue to play well in the AHL for now. Overall, he's produced 15 points over 14 contests for Milwaukee this season.

L'Heureux was summoned from AHL Milwaukee on Tuesday to provide the team with forward depth due to the absence of Cole Smith (upper body). Cole Smith (upper body) will be out for multiple weeks, so L'Heureux is poised to provide depth up front with the big club for the time being. L'Heureux missed out on the Predators' Opening Night roster after producing 15 points in 62 regular-season appearances in the NHL last season. L'Heureux has gotten a top-six look at times in recent games, but with just one goal and two points over his last 15 outings, he's better suited for limited minutes. L'Heureux got the Predators on the board at 13:14 of the second period, but Jamie Drysdale gave the Flyers the lead just 34 seconds later. The goal was L'Heureux's first point in nine outings since he returned from an upper-body injury. He's playing in a bottom-six role, so his offense could remain limited. L'Heureux was limited to 6:52 of ice time in the contest. L'Heureux ended an eight-game point drought, which also saw him serve a three-game suspension for slew-footing in the middle of the slump. The 21-year-old has returned to a bottom-six role after often featuring on the second line prior to his suspension. The forward has produced 10 points, 45 shots on goal, 37 PIM and 119 hits over 38 appearances, bringing physicality to the Predators' lineup, though he has to avoid crossing the line after a lengthy suspension history in the junior and AHL ranks.

Predators' Zachary L'Heureux: Eligible to play Saturday
L'Heureux has completed his three-game suspension for slew-footing and is an option to face the Capitals on Saturday.
L'Heureux has appeared in 33 games during his rookie campaign, recording four goals, five assists and 38 shots while also dishing out 106 hits. While physicality is certainly part of the 21-year-old forward's game, he'll need to clean it up to remain in the NHL or risk the Predators sending him back to the minors to avoid the headache of having him suspended.
