Flyers' Aleksei Kolosov: Starter status in doubt
Kolosov, who was announced by the Flyers as the starter against Tampa Bay on Thursday, appears to have suffered an undisclosed injury during the game-day skate, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Kolosov's status as the starter should probably be considered doubtful at this point. Even if it is a minor issue, the team almost certainly wouldn't want to risk him and would go with Ivan Fedotov instead. Still, fantasy players may have to wait until warmups at this point to determine who will be between the pipes versus the Bolts on Thursday.

Flyers' Aleksei Kolosov: Blown away by Hurricanes
Kolosov turned aside 29 of 34 shots in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to Carolina, with the Hurricanes' final goal getting scored into an empty net.
Philly scored the first goal of the night midway through the first period but never led again, and Kolosov was scrambling just to keep his team in the game. The rookie netminder nearly got the Flyers to overtime, but Martin Necas banged home a rebound through traffic with just 31 seconds left in the third period for the winner. Samuel Ersson (lower body) could rejoin the lineup as soon as Thursday, but if he's not ready Kolosov could make his third straight start in Tampa Bay.

Flyers' Aleksei Kolosov: Guarding goal Tuesday
Kolosov will defend the road net Tuesday against Carolina, per Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports.
Kolosov will make his second NHL start due to the absence of Samuel Ersson (lower body). The 22-year-old Kolosov has posted a mark of 0-2-0 through two appearances this season. He stopped 20 of 22 shots in Saturday's 3-0 loss to Boston after Ersson left the game early. Carolina ranks fifth in the league with 3.90 goals per game in 2024-25.

Flyers' Aleksei Kolosov: Takes loss in relief
Kolosov took the loss in Saturday's 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Bruins, stopping 20 of 22 shots after replacing Samuel Ersson (lower body) midway through the first period.
Kolosov didn't play poorly after being brought into the game, but the Flyers couldn't get a puck past Joonas Korpisalo in the other crease. It's not clear how serious Ersson's injury is, but if he misses any time, Kolosov could have the edge on Ivan Fedotov for starts given the latter's rough beginning to the season (5.35 GAA and .821 save percentage in three appearances).
