Hischier scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Blue Jackets.
The 26-year-old center extended his point streak to six games when he opened the scoring 86 seconds into the first period on a pass attempt that deflected into the Columbus net off Ivan Provorov's stick. Hischier has erupted for six goals and 12 points during his heater, and on the season, he's up to 10 goals and 25 points through 26 contests as he looks to return to the 80-point plateau for the first time since 2022-23.

Devils' Nico Hischier: Goal streak at four games
Hischier scored a goal and put two shots on net in Friday's 5-0 shutout win over Buffalo.
Hischier stayed hot when he tallied the opening goal midway through the first period in Friday's shutout win. With the twine finder, the 26-year-old star has nine goals, 22 points, 55 shots on net and 27 blocks through 24 games this season. He has lit the lamp in four straight contests, scoring five times over that span while adding four assists and 12 shots. He also got to rest his legs with New Jersey up big down the stretch, as he skated under 20 minutes for just the second time in November. Hischier's recent offensive outburst, coupled with his strong two-way play, has him trending upward in fantasy toward an elite group of players with strong category coverage.

Devils' Nico Hischier: Multi-point game streak at three
Hischier scored a power-play goal, recorded two assists and placed four shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blues.
Hischier netted the game-tying goal on a power play midway through the second period before sliding the primary assist on Simon Nemec's game-winner in overtime. Hischier put the Devils up 3-0 in the first period with his first goal of the season, a wraparound that deflected off the skate of a Tampa defender and past Andrei Vasilevskiy. Hischier set a career high in goals (35) last season, although it came on an inflated 18.7 shooting percentage. His career mark is 13.3. Still, Hischier is one of the league's best two-way pivots, and a 70-point campaign with lots of power-play production is within reach.

Hischier (lower body) participated in Thursday's training camp session, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.
Hischier was injured at the 2025 IIHF World Championship but seems no worse for wear as NHL training camps kick off. Despite playing in just 75 regular-season contests last year, the 26-year-old center still managed to set a new career best in goals (35) and power-play points (29). He'll look to once again push for the 40-goal threshold this year while offering top-end fantasy value.

Devils' Nico Hischier: Suffers lower-body injury
Hischier suffered a lower-body injury at the 2025 IIHF World Championship and will miss the remainder of the tournament, Daniel Amoia of The Hockey Writers reports Friday.
The injury should not affect Hischier as far as next season is concerned, as he is expected to return to full health well before training camp. Hischier had 35 goals and 34 assists across 75 regular-season games in 2024-25, leading the Devils in goals while finishing third on the team with 69 points.

Devils' Nico Hischier: Tallies in season-ending loss
Hischier scored a goal on four shots and added three hits in Tuesday's 5-4 double-overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 5.
Hischier briefly restored a lead for the Devils with his goal at 7:26 of the second period. This came after the Hurricanes erased the Devils' initial 3-0 lead. Hischier was excellent in the postseason, scoring four times over five games. He added 16 shots on net, 11 hits, seven blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating.
