    Hischier scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Blue Jackets. The 26-year-old center extended his point streak to six games when he opened the scoring 86 seconds into the first period on a pass attempt that deflected into the Columbus net off Ivan Provorov's stick. Hischier has erupted for six goals and 12 points during his heater, and on the season, he's up to 10 goals and 25 points through 26 contests as he looks to return to the 80-point plateau for the first time since 2022-23.

  • Devils' Nico Hischier: Goal streak at four games

    Hischier scored a goal and put two shots on net in Friday's 5-0 shutout win over Buffalo. Hischier stayed hot when he tallied the opening goal midway through the first period in Friday's shutout win. With the twine finder, the 26-year-old star has nine goals, 22 points, 55 shots on net and 27 blocks through 24 games this season. He has lit the lamp in four straight contests, scoring five times over that span while adding four assists and 12 shots.     Hischier scored a power-play goal, recorded two assists and placed four shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blues. Hischier netted the game-tying goal on a power play midway through the second period before sliding the primary assist on Simon Nemec's game-winner in overtime. Hischier once again served as the workhorse forward for New Jersey, as he made a large impact at both ends of the ice in his 21:15 of playing time. Hischier is up to three goals, 11 points, 26 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 12 appearances. He's a lock for top-six minutes as the Devils' best two-way forward, and he should continue to produce at a pace just under a point per game, which is on par with his performance from the last three years.
