The 27-year-old winger was unable to find the back of the net for a 12th straight game, but Bratt's been far from quiet during his goal drought, racking up 12 assists during that stretch, including five on the power play. Through 26 contests on the season, Bratt's produced five goals and 26 points with 59 shots on net, 26 hits and a minus-2 rating.

Bratt had a hand in all three goals scored by New Jersey on Saturday, as he tallied the primary helper on Timo Meier's goal before picking up secondary assists on both of Nico Hischier's goals. With the three helpers, Bratt is up to 16 assists, 21 points and 50 shots on target in 21 games this season. The 27-year-old winger has shown steady improvement in each of the past few seasons and is on pace to finish near the 88-point total he posted in 81 regular-season games a year ago. With Jack Hughes (finger) potentially out until January, Bratt has a clear path to lead the team in points, as the latter remains one of the league's elite playmakers.

Bratt notched two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Islanders.
The 27-year-old winger helped set up tallies by Timo Meier in the first period and Simon Nemec in the third, the latter tying the game with just five seconds left in regulation to steal a point in the standings for the Devils. Bratt scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canadiens.
After having a hand in Timo Meier's tying tally with just over a minute left in the third period, Bratt ended the night in spectacular fashion, picking Alex Newhook's pocket at the New Jersey blue line to create a clear breakaway and then sliding a backhand through Jakub Dobes' five-hole for the OT winner. It was Bratt's first multi-point performance since Oct. 21, snapping a seven-game skid in which he managed just one goal and three points. On the season, the 27-year-old winger still has five goals and 15 points in 14 contests.

Bratt's season-opening point streak was on the line, but he got it to seven games with the empty-netter at 18:43 of the third period. All three apples were primaries on Jack Hughes' hat trick. The helpers push Bratt into the NHL's top-10 scorers with 10 points (three goals, seven assists), and he sits at the top of the team's scoring list. Bratt is on a six-game point streak to start the season, and he has a surprising six PIM -- last season, he tied his career high of 18. Consider the PIM to be gravy right now -- we don't expect this edge to continue for much longer. Bratt's too good to use his hands for anything but scoring.

Bratt scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Oilers.
After giving the Devils a 2-0 lead late in the second period, Bratt set up Jack Hughes for the eventual game-winner midway through the third. Bratt has gotten onto the scoresheet in five straight games to begin the season, piling up three goals and seven points during that streak -- including one goal and two assists on the power play.

Devils' Jesper Bratt: Hits 450-point plateau
Bratt scored a shorthanded goal Saturday in a 5-3 win over the Lightning.
The goal stood as the winner. He got the puck and took off on a breakaway, beating Andrei Vasilevskiy at 4:48 of the third period. Bratt reached 450 NHL points (152 goals, 298 assists; 554 games) with the goal. He has topped 80 points in the last two regular seasons, and barring injury, should replicate that production with ease.

Although the Devils didn't get off to a good start in 2025-26, Bratt certainly picked up where he left off after a career-high 88 points last season. The Swedish winger set up Dougie Hamilton's game-tying goal in the second period, and Bratt also tied the score at 3-3 in the third, but that was the last of New Jersey's offense for the night. The 27-year-old Bratt is once again working in a top-line role and on the No. 1 power-play unit, and he should see plenty of opportunities again Saturday in Tampa Bay, as the Lightning gave up five goals to the Senators on Thursday.

Devils' Jesper Bratt: Feels healthy to begin camp
Bratt (shoulder) said Thursday that he feels 100 percent healthy to begin training camp, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Bratt underwent shoulder surgery in May that forced him to miss the 2025 IIHF World Championship, but he's fully available to begin training camp ahead of the NHL regular season. The 27-year-old has missed just one regular-season game across the past three seasons, and he logged 21 goals, 67 assists, 96 hits and 42 blocked shots while averaging 18:57 of ice time over 81 regular-season appearances last year.

Devils' Jesper Bratt: Undergoing shoulder surgery
Bratt (shoulder) will have offseason surgery but should be ready for the beginning of training camp in the fall, the Devils announced Monday.
Bratt will be unavailable to participate in the 2025 IIHF World Championship for Sweden, but he probably won't miss the beginning of the 2025-26 campaign. He amassed 21 goals, 88 points, 180 shots on net and 96 hits across 81 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. Bratt added one goal, two helpers, 20 shots on target, six hits and five blocks in five playoff outings during New Jersey's first-round defeat versus Carolina.
