Stars' Lian Bichsel: Called back up
Bichsel was recalled from AHL Texas on Friday.
Bichsel was sent to the AHL on Thursday, but he'll rejoin the NHL club a day later. The 20-year-old has made four appearances for Dallas across the past week, racking up two goals and 13 hits while averaging 15:24 of ice time. Bichsel should have a chance to suit up Friday against the Rangers if Thomas Harley (illness) or Nils Lundkvist (illness) is unavailable.

Stars' Lian Bichsel: Sent back to AHL
Bichsel was loaned to AHL Texas on Thursday.
Bichsel has spent most of the past week with Dallas and has made an impression during his first taste of NHL action, logging two goals and 13 hits while averaging 15:24 of ice time over four appearances. It's not yet clear whether the 20-year-old will rejoin the NHL club ahead of Friday's game against the Rangers, but whether he's called back up will likely depend on whether Thomas Harley (illness) or Nils Lundkvist (illness) are able to return.

Stars' Lian Bichsel: Tallies in win
Bichsel scored a goal and added four hits in Monday's 3-1 win over the Capitals.
Bichsel's shot banked in off a Capitals defenseman at 17:35 of the second period, and that stood as the game-winning goal. The 20-year-old defenseman has two goals, three shots on net, 12 hits and a plus-2 rating through his first three NHL outings. The Stars will likely remain cautious with his minutes, but his strong play could force them to keep him around with the big club even once Matt Dumba (upper body) and Thomas Harley (illness) are healthy.

Stars' Lian Bichsel: Scores in NHL debut
Bichsel scored his first career goal while adding a team-high five hits, two shots on net, two PIM and a plus-1 rating in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Predators.
In his NHL debut, the 20-year-old defenseman spoiled a shutout bid for Justus Annunen with a quick shot from the top of the faceoff circle midway through the third period. Bichsel, the 18th overall pick in the 2022 Draft, isn't going to see prime ice time on a blue line that already has Miro Heiskanen, Thomas Harley and Esa Lindell entrenched in key roles, but he appears ready to handle a regular shift while Matt Dumba (upper body) is sidelined.

Stars' Lian Bichsel: Promoted from AHL
Bichsel was called up from AHL Texas on Thursday, Brian Rea of FanDuel Sports Network Southwest reports.
Bichsel was recalled as Matt Dumba missed practice Wednesday with an upper-body injury and the Stars needed a sixth or seventh defenseman, in case Dumba is unavailable Thursday versus Nashville. Bichsel had three goals and nine points in 21 AHL contests before his recall.

Stars' Lian Bichsel: Sent to AHL
Bichsel was reassigned to AHL Texas on Saturday.
Bichsel had two goals, four points and 28 PIM in 29 regular-season games with Rogle BK in Sweden in 2023-24. He also registered one goal, seven points and 34 PIM across 16 regular-season outings with AHL Texas. Selected with the No. 18 overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, Bichsel is a towering defenseman with plenty of potential, but he'll need more time to hone his skills before eventually making his NHL debut.
