  • Predators' Brayden Burke: Headed to Nashville

Burke was traded from the Kings to the Predators on Monday in exchange for Frederic Allard.

The 25-year-old Burke is in his fourth full minor-league campaign. Back in 2019-20, Burke reeled off 52 points in 51 games, but he's managed just 17 in 31 this year with AHL Ontario. He'll look to recapture his scoring touch with AHL Milwaukee for now.

Burke was traded to the Kings from the Coyotes on Saturday.

Burke and Tyler Steenbergen head further west in exchange for Bokondji Imama and Cole Hults. Burke recorded 14 points (one goal, 13 assists) in 28 games last season for Tucson of the AHL. Over three seasons there, he delivered 99 points (35 goals, 64 assists) in 146 games.

  • Coyotes' Brayden Burke: Joining team for postseason

Burke is traveling to Arizona to link up with the team for Phase 2 training sessions.

While the fine details are still being worked out, NHL clubs are expected to have expanded rosters for the 24-team playoff and it appears Burke has secured one of those spots for the Yotes. In 51 outings for AHL Tucson this season, the winger notched 21 goals and 31 helpers, both career highs. While he's unlikely to get into any actual games, the 23-year-old's involvement could improve his chances of securing a spot on the 23-man roster ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

  • Coyotes' Brayden Burke: Makes room for Hall

The Coyotes reassigned Burke to AHL Tucson on Monday.

With the recent acquisition of Taylor Hall from New Jersey, the Coyotes made room for him on the roster by dispatching Burke to the AHL. Burke failed to suit up in an NHL game in his short time with the big club and has 24 points in 24 AHL games this campaign.

  • Coyotes' Brayden Burke: Promoted from minors

The Coyotes recalled Burke from AHL Tucson on Friday.

Burke signed an entry-level deal with Arizona in March of 2018 and finished last year with 33 points in 67 minor-league games. His promotion likely relates to his hot start in 2019-20, where he's notched 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists) through 24 games. He'll provide some extra depth up front with Barrett Hayden joining Team Canada for the World Junior Championships and could make his NHL debut as soon as Saturday versus the Devils. The team still has 12 other healthy forwards, so he's not guaranteed to draw in on a nightly basis.
