Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Second time in career to 25 goals
Svechnikov (undisclosed) scored a goal Tuesday in a 5-1 loss to Columbus.
The goal was his 25th. It's the second time Svechnikov has hit that milestone. He first did it in the 2021-22 regular season, which is also the year he set his career mark for goals (30), assists (39), power-play points (22) and shots (249). Svechnikov has already equaled the PPP mark this season, and with continued health, he could equal his goal mark and break his point mark.

Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Good to go Tuesday
Svechnikov (undisclosed) will play against Columbus on Tuesday, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.
Svechnikov won't miss any game action after skipping Monday's practice. As a result, he should occupy his regular spot on Carolina's top line against the Blue Jackets on Tuesday. He has compiled 24 goals, 58 points, 172 shots on net and 119 hits over 66 appearances this season.

Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Doesn't practice Monday
Svechnikov didn't participate in Monday's practice session due to an undisclosed issue, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Although head coach Rod Brind'Amour said after Monday's practice that Svechnikov "should be alright," it's not yet clear whether the 25-year-old will be able to suit up in Columbus on Tuesday or at home against the Penguins on Wednesday. Svechnikov has recorded points in eight of 12 appearances since the start of February, logging four goals, eight assists, 26 hits and 12 PIM while averaging 17:45 of ice time across that span.

Svechnikov scored the game-winning goal in Thursday's 2-0 victory over the Rangers.
The 25-year-old winger pounced on a clearing attempt at the New York blue line, zipped into the slot and wired the puck past Jonathan Quick to open the scoring early in the first period. That proved to be all the offense Brandon Bussi would need on the night. Svechnikov would probably prefer not to take a three-week break for the Olympics given his current form, as he's erupted for nine goals and 14 points over his last 10 games.

Svechnikov tallied an unassisted goal early in the first period before later picking up a power-play helper late in the second. With nearly all hope lost of pulling off a comeback victory, his power-play twine finder sparked a three-goal outbreak to help Carolina steal the win with less than two minutes remaining in the contest. The budding star has completely bounced back after last year and sits just two points shy of matching the 48 he posted in 72 regular-season games in 2024-25.
