Hofer allowed four goals on 23 shots in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Mammoth.
Hofer hadn't allowed more than three goals in any of his last five outings. He's played well enough to earn a timeshare in the crease with Jordan Binnington, who has remained volatile this season. Hofer tended a decent game through the first two periods, as he helped the Blues tie the Sabres through 40 minutes before Buffalo's Zach Benson netted the go-ahead goal less than two minutes into the third. Despite having his three-game winning streak snapped in Monday's loss, the 25-year-old goalie has managed to turn around the outlook on his season over the past month. Hofer's strong run of play continued Saturday, as he allowed just one goal apiece in the first and third periods while playing from ahead the majority of the night. The 25-year-old goalie pushed his season save percentage back up to the .900 mark for the first time since the first game of the season.
