Capitals' Connor McMichael: Lights lamp twice Monday
McMichael scored two goals, including one on the power play, fired three shots on net and recorded two blocked shots in Monday's 7-3 win over Calgary.

Alongside his 10 twine finders, McMichael has 33 points, 115 shots on net, 33 hits and 34 blocked shots across 61 games this season. Capitals' Connor McMichael: Two-point effort Saturday
McMichael scored a goal on five shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Oilers.
McMichael's goal put the Capitals ahead 5-4 with 4:51 left in the third period, but the lead didn't last. That tally secured his first multi-point effort since Jan. 9 versus the Blackhawks, and it ended a five-game point drought. Through 53 contests, McMichael has eight goals, 30 points, 104 shots on net, 27 hits, 30 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating. He's still shooting just 7.7 percent, so there's some room for increased production if his luck turns around.

The 24-year-old had a hand in each of the Capitals' first four goals, including Justin Sourdif's first career hat trick. McMichael hasn't gotten onto the scoresheet in consecutive games since late November, making him a risky DFS play, but his overall numbers -- five goals and 25 points in 43 contests with 82 shots on net and a plus-6 rating -- have some value in deeper season-long formats.

McMichael had a goal and an assist in Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Devils.

This two-point output snapped McMichael's five-game pointless streak, and he also found the back of the net for the first time since Oct. 24. McMichael will continue to have opportunities to produce as long as he skates on the first line alongside Ovechkin and Dylan Strome, but McMichael's lack of production has limited his upside considerably.
