McMichael was placed on injured reserve at the end of January, but he should be back in action Wednesday against the Flyers, which is the Capitals' first game following the Olympic break. McMichael sustained the injury late in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over Detroit. He will miss at least the next four games and won't be ready to return until after the Olympic break. McMichael has eight goals, 31 points, 105 shots on net, 30 blocked shots and 30 hits across 55 appearances this season. According to Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post, McMichael is week-to-week.

His assist was a thing of beauty. He nabbed a dump-in, and as he was about to carry it behind and around the net, McMichael passed back to Aliaksei Protas, who wired a one-timer into the open left side of the net. McMichael's off to a slow start this season and has one assist in four contests after recording 57 points and 177 shots in 82 regular-season games last year. He'll be fine.
