Suns' Koa Peat: Shut down for rest of Summer League
The Suns are shutting down Peat (rest) for the remainder of the Las Vegas Summer League, per John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM.
Peat wraps up a promising Las Vegas Summer League run, producing at least 12 points, six rebounds and two steals in each of his three appearances. The rookie first-rounder is set to compete with the likes of Haywood Highsmith and Ryan Dunn for a reserve role with the Suns during training camp.

Suns' Koa Peat: Delivers another strong SL effort
Peat finished with 19 points (8-15 FG, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist and two steals across 26 minutes in Monday's 95-88 Summer League win over Milwaukee.
Peat looked good in his previous two Las Vegas Summer League games, though he looked even better Monday, finishing two points behind Khaman Maluach, who had a team-high 21. The 19-year-old Peat was selected with the No. 30 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft after spending his only collegiate season at Arizona. In 36 appearances with the Wildcats in 2025-26, including five NCAA Tournament games, he averaged 14.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.7 blocks and 0.6 steals over 27.8 minutes. Peat has a high ceiling, but he may not see consistent action for the Suns during the 2026-27 campaign, barring injuries.

Suns' Koa Peat: Scores 12 points in SL loss
Peat posted 12 points (5-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-3 FT), four rebounds, two steals and one assist across 28 minutes in Sunday's 81-75 Summer League loss to the Pelicans.
Peat turned in a relatively efficient performance and finished as the Suns' third-leading scorer, albeit in a losing effort. He also tied for the team lead in steals. The rookie forward has scored at least 12 points in both of his Summer League appearances thus far, totaling 29 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block in those outings.

Suns' Koa Peat: Taken by Suns after draft-day trade
The Mavericks selected Peat with the No. 30 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft and traded his rights to the Suns.
The Suns made a late-night splash to close out the first round, and the 19-year-old power forward stays in-state after a highly productive freshman campaign at Arizona, where he anchored the interior for a Wildcats squad that captured a Big 12 championship and advanced to the Final Four. Starting all 36 contests, the 6-foot-8, 245-pound forward earned Third Team All-Big 12 and All-Freshman honors by averaging 14.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 27.8 minutes per game. Peat is a physically mature, blue-collar frontcourt player who excels at absorbing contact, finishing efficiently around the rim (52.8 percent from the field) and operating as a high-post playmaker. While his lack of vertical explosiveness and sub-optimal perimeter shooting (35.0 percent from deep on low volume and 62.3 percent from the line) caps his upside as a primary scoring option, he is an incredibly stable, high-floor "glue guy."
