No. 2 Ohio State and No. 10 Miami will kick off the College Football Playoff quarterfinals festivities on Wednesday night in the Cotton Bowl. This New Year's Eve brings us a showdown between two of college football's most lucrative brands as we inch closer toward crowning a national champion for the 2025 season. The Hurricanes earned their spot in the game after a 10-3 win over No. 7 Texas A&M in the first round.
Ohio State makes its way to the Cotton Bowl for the second straight season. The Buckeyes bested Texas in this game last season thanks to a historic scoop-and-score by Jack Sawyer en route to a national title game appearance. However, Ohio State is also coming off its first loss of the season in the Big Ten Championship Game.
