Justin Hilliard: Suspension lifted
Hilliard (ankle) had his suspension lifted Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Hilliard was waived by the Giants on July 28 after playing two games with the team last season, before he suffered a season-ending ankle injury that landed him on IR. Before being waived, he was suspended two games for violating the NFL Policy on Performance-Enhancing Substances. Now cleared to play, Hilliard may find it easier to earn an opportunity with another team.

Justin Hilliard: Loses spot
Hilliard (ankle) was waived by the Giants on Thursday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Hilliard spent the entirety of the 2021 campaign with the Giants organization, playing 15 snaps on special teams while appearing in two games before being placed on IR in October. The linebacker appears to have struggled within Wink Martindale's 3-4 defense this offseason and will now look for a new squad. Wherever he ends up, Hilliard still has to serve a two-game suspension for violating the NFL Policy on Performance-Enhancing Substances last season.

Giants' Justin Hilliard: Suspended for two games
Hillard (ankle) has been suspended for two games for violating the NFL Policy on Performance-Enhancing Substances.
Hillard ended last season on IR due to an ankle issue and only appeared in two games (15 special-teams snaps). He'll still be eligible to participate in all preseason practices and games and will be allowed to return to the Giants' active roster Monday, Sept. 19, though he's likely a long shot to make the team.

Giants' Justin Hilliard: Lands on IR
The Giants placed Hilliard (ankle) on injured reserve Friday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Hilliard will be sidelined for at least three weeks with the move to IR. He has only played on special teams this year, so his absence shouldn't affect the Giants' defensive rotations.
