The decision to require the offensive guard to take up a roster spot means he is likely able to suit up for the game. The Broncos designated Powers (biceps) for return from IR on Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.
Powers now has a 21-day practice window where he won't count against the 53-man roster, and if healthy enough to come off IR immediately, he could play as early as Sunday versus the Packers. Expect Powers to return to a starting role at left guard once he's fully cleared.

Powers had surgery Monday after tearing his left biceps during the Broncos' Week 5 win over the Eagles, and the 2019 fourth-rounder is expected to be sidelined until December, per Tomasson. Calvin Throckmorton was elevated from the practice squad to provide the Broncos additional depth on offensive line, and Alex Palczewski could start at left guard against the Jets on Sunday due to Powers' injury.
