Cowboys' Trevon Diggs: Headed to IR
The Cowboys placed Diggs (knee) on injured reserve Saturday.
Diggs has been dealing with a bevy of injuries this season that have limited his availability, and he's slated to undergo season-ending surgery to repair a knee cartilage issue. The 26-year-old still doesn't have a date set for when he'll undergo this procedure, according to Todd Archer of ESPN.com. No matter what, he's expected to have a long recovery timeline, which could impact his availability for the start of the 2025 campaign. In 11 games this season, Diggs totaled 52 tackles and 11 passes defended, including two interceptions. DaRon Bland and Amani Oruwariye should slot in as Dallas' starting cornerbacks for the final three games of this season.

Cowboys' Trevon Diggs: Set for season-ending surgery
Diggs is expected to undergo surgery on his left knee will miss the remainder of the 2024 campaign, David Moore of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Diggs had already been ruled out for Sunday's game against Carolina, which will mark his third absence in four weeks. He's been a mainstay on Dallas' injury report all season, having also dealt with foot, ankle, calf and groin issues throughout the campaign. With surgery now on tap, Diggs' season comes to a sudden end after just 11 games, during which he tallied 42 tackles and two interceptions. The 26-year-old cornerback was limited to just two games in 2023 after suffering a torn ACL in the same knee, though his latest injury is considered unrelated and instead involves damage to the cartilage at the end of his bones in his joint, per Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Diggs is expected to face an eight-month recovery timeline from surgery, so while he'll likely remain out for offseason workouts in the spring, he could be cleared in advance of training camp in late July.

Diggs (knee) won't play in Sunday's Week 15 contest against Carolina, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Diggs was deemed questionable to face the Panthers on Dallas' injury report Friday, but he's since been ruled out. The veteran cornerback will thus miss his third game in four weeks -- Diggs was able to suit up Monday against Cincinnati and played all of the Cowboys' defensive snaps, but he apparently isn't past his knee issue. Andrew Booth and/or Amani Oruwariye could be asked to step up in Diggs' stead Sunday.

Cowboys' Trevon Diggs: Questionable for Week 15
Diggs (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Panthers, Patrik Walker of the Cowboys' official site reports.
The Alabama product played through his knee injury in Dallas' Week 14 loss to the Bengals, recording five total tackles and three passes defended over 65 defensive snaps. He practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday and Thursday but downgraded to an estimated DNP on Friday, which suggests he's trending in the wrong direction ahead of Week 15. If Diggs is able to suit up Sunday, he'll serve as one of Dallas' starting outside cornerbacks.

Cowboys' Trevon Diggs: Limited to begin practice week
Diggs (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice walkthrough, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Diggs returned from a two-game absence Monday versus Cincinnati and played every one of Dallas' defensive snaps, finishing with five tackles and three pass defenses. His designation of limited Wednesday may simply reflect that he's not 100 percent recovered from the knee issue. Diggs' practice participation the rest of the week should help clarify whether he's in any danger of missing Sunday's contest against Carolina.
