Draft Scouting Report
Pro Comparison: Jaylon Johnson
Summary
Chris Johnson is the type of prospect becoming rarer in today’s game. He spent all four years at San Diego State, growing into a larger role each season -- from backup as a freshman, to part-timer as a sophomore, to starter as a junior, to shutdown corner as a senior. No corner in college football was better statistically last season. Johnson allowed just 18 catches for 185 yards and picked off four passes. While the level of competition wasn’t elite, that ability carried over to the Senior Bowl in Mobile, where he held his own throughout the week of practices.
