Seahawks' Ernest Jones: Cleared to play Saturday
Jones (illness) does not carry an injury designation into Saturday's NFC divisional-round tilt against San Francisco.
Jones popped up on Wednesday's injury report due to an illness, but his ailment isn't considered severe enough for him to miss Saturday's playoff contest. The fifth-year pro ended the 2025 regular season with 126 tackles (60 solo), including 0.5 sacks, and seven pass defenses (four interceptions and a pick-six) across 15 games.

Seahawks' Ernest Jones: Dealing with illness
Jones (illness) didn't participate in Seattle's practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Jones popped up on the injury report Wednesday but will look to be healthy in time for Saturday's divisional-round matchup versus the 49ers. While his availability in practice Thursday and Friday will provide more clarity toward his status for the game, Tyrice Knight (shoulder) and Patrick O'Connell would be in line for increased playing time if Jones ends up being unable to play.

Seahawks' Ernest Jones: Nearly gets INT in Week 16 victory
Jones posted 12 tackles (four solo) during the Seahawks' 38-37 overtime win over the Rams on Thursday.
Jones posted double-digit tackles for a fourth consecutive game (and sixth time this season), and he finished Thursday's game as the second-leading tackler behind Drake Thomas (13). Jones was the only Seattle defender to play all 92 defensive snaps and came close to giving the Seahawks possession in overtime, but his apparent interception of Matthew Stafford was reversed after replay showed the ball hit the ground. Jones is up to 116 combined tackles through 13 regular-season games, and he'll look to add to his total in the Seahawks' Week 17 road tilt against the Panthers on Sunday, Dec. 28.

Jones recorded 12 tackles (two solo) and two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown, in Sunday's 26-0 win over the Vikings.
Jones intercepted an errant pass from Vikings QB Max Brosmer and returned it 85 yards for his first career pick-six. This was a monster performance by Jones, who returned to the lineup after missing last week's game with a knee injury. The 26-year-old linebacker has been a consistent fantasy contributor this season with 8.3 tackles per game in addition to five interceptions.
