Draft Scouting Report
Noah Whittington is a resilient and versatile running back who became a key fixture in Oregon's explosive offense. Known for his "sledgehammer" running style, he combines low pad level with the vision to find lanes between the tackles. After returning from a significant knee injury, he proved to be a reliable veteran who can contribute as both a tough downhill runner and a polished receiver capable of lining up across the formation.
- 2025: All-Big Ten honorable mention (team-high 829 rushing yards)
- 2025: 6.4 yards per carry (third in Big Ten; 17th in FBS)
- Physical, downhill runner.
- Refined route-running ability out of the slot and backfield.
- Exceptional work ethic and resilience returning from major injury.
- Lacks elite top-end speed to consistently win the perimeter.
- Significant medical history including a reconstructive ACL surgery.
- Technical pass protection skills require work for professional trust.
- Bench press: 24 reps

Texans' Noah Whittington: Signs with Houston
The Texans signed Whittington as an undrafted free agent Friday.
Whittington started his collegiate career at Western Kentucky before transferring to Oregon after his second year. The running back played four seasons for the Ducks, capping his college career with 129 carries for 829 yards and six touchdowns while adding 19 receptions for 98 yards and another score over 13 games in 2025. Despite a smaller frame, Whittington could provide solid value to the Texans as a rotational back with a strong reputation for ball security (one fumble in four seasons with Oregon).
