The Rangers optioned Anderson to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.
The move is to make room on the 26-man roster for right-hander Daniel Robert. Anderson pitched two scoreless innings Sunday against the Rays, allowing just one hit while striking out three. Across 17 major-league outings this season, Anderson has an 8.53 ERA and 1.63 WHIP over 19 innings.
