The Rangers optioned Anderson to Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday.
Anderson hasn't found much success in the majors since joining the Rangers in May, posting a 9.53 ERA and 1.76 WHIP through 17 innings. He'll now head back to Triple-A in order to right the ship, and Brock Burke (hand) will come off the 60-day injured list to fill the opening in Texas' bullpen.
