  • Kershaw is included on the Dodgers' NLDS roster. Kershaw wasn't on the roster for the NL Wild Card Series against Cincinnati, but he'll now officially be available to pitch against the Phillies. The Dodgers have already confirmed Shohei Ohtani, Blake Snell, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Tyler Glasnow as their starting arms for the NLDS, so Kershaw will move to the bullpen to provide aid to a Dodgers bullpen that has struggled to limit runs recently.

  • Kershaw (11-2) earned the win in Sunday's 6-1 win over Seattle, striking out seven and allowing four hits and one walk over 5.1 scoreless innings. The future Hall of Famer dazzled in his last regular-season start, generating 16 whiffs out of his 94 total pitches to stymy the division-winning Mariners. The only extra-base hit Kershaw allowed was a Miles Mastrobuoni double in the third inning. The star southpaw wraps his final regular season with a 3.36 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 84:35 K:BB across 112.2 total innings. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed prior to Sunday's game that because Kershaw was making a normal start in the regular-season finale, the southpaw wouldn't be available for the team's three-game wild-card series with the Reds, per Andrew Destin of the Associated Press. Kershaw could still be included on the roster for the NLDS if the Dodgers are able to advance past the wild-card round.

  • Kershaw allowed two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out six over 4.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Friday. Kershaw's final regular-season home start wasn't all that great, but it's fitting that it came against the Dodgers' biggest rivals. The southpaw, who announced Thursday his plans to retire at the end of the season, was able to throw 91 pitches (56 strikes) in this outing before walking off the field to a standing ovation. He hasn't taken a loss since late July, allowing 18 runs over 46.2 innings across his last nine starts with a 38:16 K:BB in that span. For the season, he has a 3.55 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 77:34 K:BB through 106.1 innings across 21 starts. Kershaw's last regular-season start is projected to be on the road in Seattle, and it remain to be seen what role the Dodgers will have him in during the playoffs.

  • The Dodgers announced Thursday that Kershaw will retire after the conclusion of the 2025 season. Kershaw has two more regular-season starts and should pitch in the postseason in some capacity, but after that he will call it a career. The 37-year-old has pitched well in his 18th and final campaign, posting a 3.53 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 71:30 K:BB over 102 innings covering 20 starts. He's won 222 games and his career 2.54 ERA leads all active pitchers. Kershaw has won three National League Cy Young awards, one NL MVP and has made 11 All-Star teams in what will undoubtedly result in enshrinement in the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

  • Kershaw allowed four runs on five hits and four walks while striking out two over three innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Saturday. Kershaw gave up all four runs in the first inning and was shaky in the second before a sharp third. He was pulled at 67 pitches (39 strikes), though low pitch counts haven't been unusual for the veteran lefty this year. He's now at a 3.53 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 71:30 K:BB through 102 innings across 20 starts this season. Kershaw will aim to get back on track at home in a rematch with the Giants next week.
