  • Mets' Jarrett Parker: Added to 60-man pool
    By RotoWire

Parker has been named to the Mets' 60-man player pool, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports. The 31-year-old posted good numbers at Triple-A Salt Lake in the Angels' system last year, but Parker has never been able to establish himself as a consistent big-league hitter. He could get another chance as part of a Mets roster that is thin on healthy outfield options.

  • Parker signed a minor-league contract with the Mets on Thursday that includes an invitation to spring training. Parker spent most of 2019 with Triple-A Salt Lake, where he recorded a .929 OPS with 24 home runs and 75 RBI over 96 games. He appeared in five major-league games with the Angels, but he was designated for assignment after failing to record a hit. The 30-year-old will get the chance to compete as a non-roster invite at spring training, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him appear in the majors at some point in 2020 if he performs well in the Mets' organization.

  • Angels' Jarrett Parker: Sent to Triple-A
    By RotoWire

Parker was sent outright to Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday. Parker, who was designated for assignment over the weekend, will remain in the Angels organization after passing through waivers untouched. In 63 games with Salt Lake this season, the outfielder owns a .294/.421/.592 line with 18 home runs and two stolen bases.

  • Parker was designated for assignment by the Angels on Saturday. Parker joined the Angels on July 3 and went without a hit in 15 plate appearances. If he goes unclaimed on waivers, the 30-year-old could return to Triple-A Salt Lake, where he had a .296/.424/.604 slash line with 19 homers prior to receiving the promotion.

  • Angels' Jarrett Parker: Back to bench
    By RotoWire

Parker is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports. After Brian Goodwin (wrist) landed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday, Parker received the call to the big leagues to serve as the Angels' fourth outfielder. He entered the lineup the past three games with Justin Upton (quadriceps) out but failed to record a hit in 10 at-bats. Though Upton remains sidelined for the series finale, manager Brad Ausmus will turn to David Fletcher rather than the struggling Parker as the replacement in left field.
