  • McMahon has gone 7-for-19 with seven walks across nine Cactus League games. McMahon has maintained at least a 10 percent walk rate in three straight regular seasons, so his elevated walk rate in the spring isn't much of a surprise. While he has only two extra-base hits in the exhibition season, he has maintained at least a .165 ISO in five of his last six campaigns.

  • McMahon is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks are sending southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez to the hill in the matinee, so the left-handed-hitting McMahon will begin the game on the bench. Aaron Schunk is at third base and batting ninth for the Rockies.

  • Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Belts 19th homer
    By RotoWire

McMahon went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-4 loss to the Tigers. The Rockies were in a 6-0 hole after the first inning, but McMahon got them on the board in the top of the second by taking Casey Mize deep. McMahon has emerged from his post-All-Star break malaise, and over his last 16 games he's slashing a respectable .262/.328/.426 with three homers, four runs and six RBI. His next long ball will give the 29-year-old his fourth straight 20-homer campaign.

  • McMahon went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-2 loss against the Brewers. McMahon took Tobias Myers deep in the fourth inning for his 18th homer of the season. McMahon got off to a great start this season but has struggled mightily over the second half. The 29-year-old made his first All-Star game in July but has just four of his 18 homers since the break and is hitting .187/.305/.302 in that stretch.

  • McMahon is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Atlanta. It's lefty Chris Sale on the bump for Atlanta, so it's a good spot for the left-handed hitting McMahon to get a breather. Aaron Schunk will play third base and bat ninth for the Rockies.
