Benintendi went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI and two walks in Monday's 8-4 win over the Angels. Benintendi opened the scoring with a two-run blast in the first inning. He added an additional RBI on a groundout in the second and popped a solo shot in the seventh for the White Sox's last run of the game. The outfielder has gone 12-for-34 (.353) with four homers and 10 RBI over his nine games, lifting his season slash line to .228/.292/.400 with 19 homers, 59 RBI, 48 runs scored and three stolen bases over 127 contests. The White Sox haven't hesitated to give younger players some chances this month, but Benintendi remains in a starting role in left field.

Benintendi went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Saturday's 7-6 win over the A's. After the White Sox blew the save in the ninth, Benintendi came up and hit the walk-off blast to open the bottom half of the inning. Benintendi hit his 17th homer of the season and second walk-off homer of his career, both coming this season as the only two walk-off wins by the White Sox in 2024. Benintendi became the first White Sox player with multiple walk-off homers in a season since Joe Crede did it in 2004.

Benintendi is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Guardians. The left-handed-hitting Benintendi will get the day off as the Guardians send southpaw Matthew Boyd to the hill. Corey Julks will patrol left field and bat leadoff for the White Sox.

Benintendi brought the White Sox within two runs in the seventh inning, but the comeback effort stalled out there. Prior to this big game, Benintendi had gone just 11-for-47 (.234) with an 11:12 BB:K, six extra-base hits and eight RBI over his last 15 games. The veteran outfielder is up to a .223/.288/.385 slash line with 16 homers, 52 RBI, 44 runs scored, 19 doubles and three stolen bases through 119 contests this year.

Benintendi is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets. The lefty-hitting Benintendi will begin on the bench for the series finale while southpaw Sean Manaea takes the hill for the Mets. Corey Julks will replace Benintendi as the White Sox's starting left fielder.
