O'Hearn went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Tuesday's victory over the Brewers. O'Hearn electrified the crowd Tuesday with a first-inning grand slam off Bruce Zimmermann to put the Padres on top early. After a rough start to September, the slugger has locked back in, going 10-for-20 with eight RBI and a pair of extra-base hits across his past five games. While his post-deadline production has dipped to a .711 OPS since he left the Orioles, O'Hearn's overall season has been strong, with a .276/.362/.435 line, 20 doubles, 17 homers and 62 RBI across 140 games.

O'Hearn went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI in Saturday's 7-3 win over the White Sox. It was the fourth three-RBI effort of the season by O'Hearn, who also knocked at least three hits for the seventh time in 2025. The All-Star slugger has found himself in quite the tailspin at the plate -- he has a .529 OPS in September -- though he doesn't appear to be in immediate danger of losing action as the designated hitter. Gavin Sheets, who's O'Hearn's main threat to playing time, has a .589 OPS this month.

O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets. O'Hearn will get a breather after he went just 3-for-26 (.115 average) while starting in each of the Padres' last seven games. With O'Hearn on the bench, Luis Arraez will slide over from second base to cover first base.

O'Hearn is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds. The Padres will go with Gavin Sheets at designated hitter as the Reds send left-hander Nick Lodolo to the hill. The left-handed-hitting O'Hearn had started the previous four contests, including a pair versus southpaws.

O'Hearn went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, a hit-by-pitch and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-8 win over the Rockies. The double was O'Hearn's first extra-base hit since Aug. 26, and he's now gone 15 contests without a homer. He's 15-for-54 (.278) with five walks in that span, but he's added just one RBI. For the season, he's logged a .280/.372/.450 slash line, 16 home runs, 54 RBI, 61 runs scored, 19 doubles and three stolen bases over 125 games between San Diego and Baltimore.
