  • Braves' Mauricio Dubon: Avoids arbitration
    By RotoWire

Atlanta and Dubon avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract Friday. Jon Heyman of the New York Post says the deal is worth $6.1 million. Dubon was acquired via trade from the Astros earlier this week and is tentatively slated to open 2026 as Atlanta's starting shortstop. However, further roster additions could push the 31-year-old to a utility role.

  • Braves' Mauricio Dubon: Traded to Atlanta
    By RotoWire

The Astros traded Dubon to Atlanta on Wednesday in exchange for Nick Allen, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports. Dubon slashed .241/.289/.355 with seven homers, 33 RBI and 43 runs scored across 398 plate appearances in 2025. While he may not be the most formidable threat at the plate, Dubon offers elite defensive versatility. He could see most of his action at shortstop if Atlanta doesn't make any significant offseason acquisitions.

  • Dubon is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers. Dubon had started in three of the last four games and five of the past seven contests, but he'll likely be in line for a reduction in playing time over the final two weeks of the regular season now that Houston has most of its key position players available. He filled in for a banged-up Jose Altuve (foot) at the keystone in Sunday's 8-3 loss to Atlanta, but Altuve will be back in the lineup Monday.

  • Dubon isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Atlanta, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports. Dubon will get a chance to rest his legs Saturday after going 1-for-4 with two RBI in Friday's blowout victory. His absence will move Jose Altuve to second base while Zach Cole starts in left field.

  • Astros' Mauricio Dubon: Idle Wednesday
    By RotoWire

Dubon is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays. Dubon picked up starts at second base and in left field in the Astros' previous two contests, but he'll hit the bench Wednesday while Houston goes with Ramon Urias and Yordan Alvarez at those respective positions. So far in September, Dubon has gone 4-for-16 with a double, two walks, two RBI and one run in seven games.
